Great content. Thanks Phil. Given the fact that you were in the integrations team for quite some time, it would be very helpful to see in detail how Bacnet integration is done step by step. For example, adding a VFD to a NAE trunk.

FrontEnd/IT Router - > Each BACnet Network (if multiple then BBMD allows network to network BACnet communication) - > BACnet devices - > Objects (AI, AO, DI, DO, AI 2, AO 2, etc.) - > Properties (each BACnet object has many properties)

Thank you very much, have a question Does BACnet work with Mikrotik Netmap rule because it's not working for me
@SmartBuildingsAcademy3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the BACnet instance. Usually when you're having trouble with NMAP it's due to the BBMD/BDT or a port mismatch.

I'm here becausa I'm having trouble in communications with VFDs in a NAE trunk. They're always going online and offline all the time. I already captured some mstp packets but I have to know how to interpret them.
@SmartBuildingsAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Well if a device is going offline then the keep alive window is either too small or the device is actually going offline.

Excellent presentation Can u tell abt annex j how & when to use it?
@SmartBuildingsAcademy4 жыл бұрын
Sure Annex J is basically just BACnet/IP. We have a writeup here about it. guides.smartbuildingsacademy.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-building-automation-protocols
If I remember correctly without referring to the protocol specification its 128 through 256 that are allocated to slave addressing. I could not see a scenario where you would have this many slave devices.
