What i do to escape the tediousness of collecting Tera shards, is I pick the 3 types I have the least of and only do those raids every day. Makes it faster and you build them up over time

…I knew Basculegion was gonna be a problem so I run Ursaluna with Seed Bomb to offset and surprise them with that. I’ve gone up against 3 Basculegion today on the ladder and I didn’t give them the chance. Regulation D is terrifying the meta hasn’t been this interesting in a while.

Why does the Overqwil have 252 attack EVs? I thought that stat calculations with choice band always rounded down so 244+ would give the same attack stat with band as 252+ and you can put those 8 freed up EVs into bulk

Can't say it's the best, but I think Hisuian Lilligant is underexplored. It's the second fastest chlorophyll user behind jumpluff and can outpace regieleki in sun. All that plus strong fighting type stab and I feel like it has to be able to do something.

QOTD: I think Basculegion is my favourite because it is a Swift Swim pokemon who is immune to Fake Out AND Extremespeed so you can lead with it but also you can keep it in the back or switch it out and make Last Respect as the endgame. I didn't even think about Selfdestruct synergy with this move. It is brilliant! I just wish there was a water type Overqwil variant so i could use mono water team with it.

aaron you're the man, thanks for the videos, i think hisuain goodra is really good, massive SP. def base stat, solid SpA, water tera with sap sipper means its only weak to electric, which most of the electric moves used are special, slap an assault vest on it, and it becomes quite the force.

I really prefer poison jab over gunk shot on overqwil, it can still OHKO a 252HP rillaboom without a 20% miss chance. I also like grass tera on the urshifu, it makes it less redundant with the rest of the team. I also put crunch on overqwil over aqua jet because people have learned about the boom strategy and tera ghost or switch to ghost. Crunch beats that.

As an interesting urshifu answer, I was wondering what your thoughts were on water tauros with anger point. If you max speed it with choice scarf, you could switch into a surging strikes and outspeed everything that isn’t scarfed or max speed eleki. It actually outspeeds 220 speed eleki. And with Fairy Tera Blast, you one shot multiscale Dragonite after anger point activates. Or you could use stone axe stealth rocks to break focus sashes and multiscale. You also have rock slide flinch potential. Earthquake switch into costar flamigo. A lot of options. It seems a bit gimmicky, but I would LOVE to see a team use this or something similar. It would be such a satisfying sweep lol

Teams like this are why I really dislike the open sheet tournament format that is common nowadays. It would be super hard to bring this team to a tournament because the element of surprise bandboom brings. (Though in a tournament people would probably expect Overqwil to do that anyways if they prepared properly. But I digress.) I just feel like not knowing the enemy teams sets beforehand was part of the joy of preparing for tournament environment. I love this team! Rain teams have been very near and dear to my heart ever since DPPl days so seeing you feature them is always such a joy! I also very much like both Overqwil and Basculegion from the Hisuian Pokémon, so to see both of them in a same team is truly a treat!

H-Typhlosion is a beast with Specs! Eruption KOs everything and next to Covert Cloak Tornadus it’s hard to stop. It’s tough to play around Chien-Pao and priority in general but with some team support it’s so strong.

Game 2 is an absolutely beautiful game of VGC. QOTD: Despite its terrible typing, Hisuian Arcanine is worth looking at. Rock Head + Flare Blitz is so much damage for little downsides. Head Smash is also a decent Rock STAB, but that 80% accuracy has me worried... but I guess Rock isn't known for accurate moves.

One of the reason self destruct was used in early vgc and competitive pokémon in general was because that the moves halved the defense stats of opposing pokémon specifically for the move on top of the high base power. How ever this was removed in later generations, but is kind of back through having Chien Po on the field

I feel like the odd one hear, but I LOVE Hisuian Avalugg and would love to see it be effective. Yes, it has two of the absolute worst defensive types in the entire game, and that almost requires you to terra it 99% of the time for it to have any real bulk, but it just looks cool to me! Honestly wish they would have updated ice resistances so that it wasn't a total joke of a type.
