Does last respects ignore redirection moves?played against a guy and used follow me on basculegion and still was hit with last respects

Last Respects should not ignore redirection moves, and Basculegion doesn't have an ability to ignore redirection. Unless you mean Rage Powder, in which it could be Safety Goggles or Grass, but you specified Follow Me so I'm not sure how that could have happened.

I’m thinking Basculegion will get some usage in Reg H for sure. Seems pretty crazy. With the early rain stuff being so good. I could also see some sort of rain-based perish song team with politoed

Yeah no doubt basc is strong on rain in reg H, surprised to see it picking up in Reg G as well

It could not have been used before without legends interupting it, pretty much just like Ursaluna. Reg H will give all hisuian and kitakami+indigo disk pokemon time to shine.

I feel like Basculegion could be what gives rain longevity in reg h. Hyper offensive teams tend to struggle further in the formats as counters emerge (I feel like gastrodon usage will rise if rain keeps looking like a strong contender for example) and last respect seems like the perfect anti-counter move to win long games when you lose initial offensive momentum. I mean, a tera normal gastrodon walls Basculegion, but if the opponents Is willing to go that far you can catch them out of position or even beat them in team preview.

@@daderr99 Well this will just make water-heavy teams utilize moves like Gastro Acid/Worry Seeed/Skill Swap/Entrainment etc. Either that or tera grass (wich water types often uses anyway) with Tera Blast to surprise KO Gastrodon who will not terastalize.

Critical hits ignore defense BOOSTS only. They still benefit from negative defenses on the enemy.
