Congrats on winning and I guess this goes to show that you do have the world champ difference.

Looking at the Hasty Gyarados, I think it might be hasty nature so that you aren't reducing tera blast's damage if gyarados hasn't terastallized. I don't know if it's actually worth it, but it's the only reason I could think of
@AlvaroCarrascoJurado2 жыл бұрын
Hey, I'm the guy who built the gyarados team, indeed that's the reason why it's Hasty but not because it was a personal choice of me, I simply didn't have too much time when building this team for a tour and decided to roll with the suggested showdown set since I wanted gyarados to be max speed... Of course without realicing the Hasty nature since sd count tera blast as a special move.

9:36 I feel like the soul reading aspect of pokemon is something he needs to do more. It could just be the narrative he weaves, but it feels like a lot of his losses last year came from him predicting the opponent’s play exactly but deciding to “keep them honest.” Losses also came from him being entirely unpredictable for him with strange teams and stuff though
@katelundberg20292 жыл бұрын
Honestly the fact that this video is technically clickbait and still manages to be extremely compelling is wonderful. I was so ready to see wolfey use his worldchamp difference to sweep through the tournament but after all the hardship and bullshit rng he had to face, putting the entire tournament on the lime for the content and almost managing to win despite that and STILL uploading the video despite losing in the end really puts into perspective how little the rng really matters. Sure it may suck at times and lead to some uncompetitive outcomes, but in that final set when luck placed it all on that one final talonflame read, it really showed me that, win or lose, the rng is what truly makes Pokemon a memorable experience because it makes each battle its own puzzle in a way. What's the safest play in a certain situation, how do you minimize randomness, and when do you throw caution to the wind and throw your fate up to chance? It was heartbreaking to see all of Wolfe's work come crumbling down because of one wrong read letting the talonflame ko his Kingambit, but with how much fun it was just watching the ups and downs up until then, I wouldn't have had it any other way Or at least that's what I would say if Wolfe lost but he never loses worldchamp difference babyyyy

TRUE, ive actually been pro end of nat dex since i first heard the news. I mean, i was a little madge at first-but when i really considered it - i was like "you mean a system that means they have to continually animate *more and more* pokemon and make the metagame have more and more top tier mons that will dominate?"
@Junya012 жыл бұрын
Y’all know that the first series of VGC for a gen is usually regional dex anyway? Having all Pokémon in the game would not affect this series’ meta, the one that Wolfey played in here Also there’s legit no excuse to not have all mons in cuz they copy paste the models and idle/attack animations of every old Pokémon since Gen 6. IF they actually held true to the current mons not cut having stellar animations and personality in battle I would be fine with the dex cut, but it’s the same shit we’ve been seeing since Gen 6. They’re just lazy and rushed for time, Pokemon Colosseum and Battle Revolution were so much more lively and fun and those games came out on the game cube and wii (and had more mons featured vs SwSh & S/V) And also, as a smogon player who plays with balanced tiers based on usage, a lot of my fave mons got fucked over with dex cut in both gens. Slaking and Breloom not available gen 8, and no Nidoking, araquanid, or Latios right now without Pokémon Home sucks big time. I miss playing with my bois Rest In Peace Gliscor and Infernape, you were too real for this fuckin corporate dex cut shakedown world we live in 😔

@@darkestlight660 bruh, there's a miriad of videos proving it's the exact same model. "Unfortunate" doesn't begin to describe my series, this game rewards blind luck and nothing else, I am beyond convinced at this point. After getting completely tooled by scheduling with my opponent changing times on me last minute and refusing to provide confirmation prior to the day of the match as to play times, losing this way somehow felt even worse than I had thought possible. My preparation was superior, my play was superior, and I lost, so I don't see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within my control is overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not.

Alright, have like 75 secs left in the video.. With the monologue at the end of game two I thought it was done and clicked away. Having a weird thought I came back to the video and was rewarded with the turn around for game 2 in the finals. I LOVE your story telling style, it is riveting and very fun. You know how to keep your audience and I thoroughly enjoy it. (And yes, I am subscribed)

The whole point of dragalge's name is that it is a mix between dragon and algae. Bro is literally saying "dragargle"

Those last few sets were legit protagonist of the world energy from Wolfe. Now THAT is the World Champ difference.
