This feels like such a hot take because everyone is upset but I love everything they did! It just shows the smallest things can make the biggest difference to how it feels, as someone who is a avid sims 3 player who doesn’t really touch the sims 4 but enjoys watching; all the past homes have felt so empty but this now feels so much more alive and lived in

@@breannakinney2130 yeah I agree! It just seems like they needed some time and patience of people to get their stuff together and continue to do so they can really improve things and make big waves! Don’t get me wrong I totally can understand the criticism absolutely to an extent with the sims 4 as a whole but then it feels like at times when these bigger wins and improvements come along it ends up being stomped all over?? (This is just my opinion and feels of course!)

@@ambradeluna I’ve seen all sorts of criticism from the length of the video, the ending, lack of information on the timeline they showed and how it’s not enough stuff. I don’t really agree with any of it tbh! I’m grateful for what we got and I felt like it was pretty great all things considered but maybe that’s just my optimism! I totally understand the criticism in general of the game and can agree to an extent but then it feels like at what point does EA finally do enough for it to be “good enough”?? Your wish could come true! Never say never! ✨

Everyone is always mad about what the sims team does Nothing they do will ever be good for them so I generally suggest you just do you and enjoy your experience with the game

I am in love with the updated Pancake house, it helps better illustrate the differences that are keeping the couple apart, but also hints at the chance for re-connection with the edition of a baby room that's been half-way set up.

i am not lyng when i say that i was thinking to myself that houses refreshes should be a thing ea should do literally yesterday. i just think that if they continue to do this refreshes (in all game, not just the base game) the game would be more enjoyable. i would love if they add some townies/npcs relations of other games to jus hae some lore refreshed. it could have some ancestors or romantic interests in the "not in the world" category, i think it would made the sims world so much more alive

Oh my GOD. The foyer in the caliente household was STUNNING I'm obsessed and I absolutely need to get back onto the sims asap!! I unfortunately suffered from a computer break as well a little bit before the holidays, so I'm still waiting to replace everything and start over again. I've been content watching your videos and other sims creators but this just sparked my inspiration once again for this game (which is exactly why this update was needed!) I only recently returned to the Sims 4 after a 8 month break, partially because the community is so toxic. It is so hard to just enjoy something and go into community space and see negativity all the time. It's nice to find creators like you oshin who don't make their whole energy about hate regardless of where that is directed. Obviously there are complaints to made but that's different than stewing in it. Anyway just wanted to say I appreciate your energy and vibes.

Eh, I dunno how I feel about Johnny's. It's a great build, but I just like the idea of Johnny Zest being broke and living in a cramped camper van, not in a luxurious campervan with a kitchen extension. Glad they put them in the gallery automatically, I've been working on a default save, and it saves me having to create a new one just to save some lots to my gallery.

The spacious building style of these houses also reminds me of Paszerine! She's one of my favorite builders, and her tutorials on building, supported by her knowledge as interior designer, are some of the best I've ever seen. As cute as tiny, cluttered homes are, my sims really do seem to navigate better when there's more room to move. Paszerine is in the EA creator network, so who knows! Highly recommend checking her stuff out for anyone who's interested 🥰

Yikes I’ve completely redone those lots in my legacy save and none of those base game sims are even still alive in my game…so basically make sure my builds are all saved cuz EA update is gonna delete them?! This is why I often play offline before updates. If I had builds deleted that weren’t saved I would be so upset. The updated homes look cool tho. Thanks for the heads up!

@WhisperTraining From checking a few of my saves it seems as long as you’ve edited the houses it will be fine,but it will replace the lots of you have not touched the houses no matter how old the save.

I love the updates, I loved the 25th anniversary video too and I’m so excited to see what’s to come. I wish the community didn’t always complain. Yes the game has a ton of glitches/bugs etc but half the time people say it’s unplayable, it’s probably a mod that needs updating because the game works okay without them? In life there is always something to be unhappy about but the flip side of that is that there is always something to be grateful for? I hate when I go into the comment section of any Sims social media and it’s sooo negative and so angry?😅 Looking forward to what the 2025 season brings for us with Sims!

My only complaint about the Spencer-Kim-Lewis house: grandparents shouldn't be upstairs or in a basement. As someone who has the joints and body of an old lady, stairs are like hiking a mountain. They should be on the ground floor. If I was a builder, I'd move them downstairs onto the ground level. I know sims don't act like humans, but logic is something I shoehorn in my own game sometimes when I really shouldn't be bothered.

Yes as someone who chose to live in a single-level home so I could age in place, I agree the grandparents' rooms should be on the main floor. It makes me think of a friend who fell & broke their ankle but lived in a 2 story house with all bedrooms upstairs. They had to crawl up and down the stairs to sleep until they just gave up and slept on the couch until they healed. People often do not think ahead to aging or (even temporary) disability when choosing where to live. Good thing sims are just pixels so they don't have these problems to deal with.

@@KimberlyRatliff yeah, my parents built their house 23 years ago, back when they were in their late 20s early 30s, and they made sure all their essentials were on the main level so they wouldn't be forced to go up and down stairs when they aged because the house was built with the intention of it being their "forever home." I was born with invisible disabilities, but I still to this day avoid going downstairs if I don't have to, and same for going upstairs. I'm glad all my sims are healthy, able-bodied pixels because I am not 😅

I was rebuilding their home before the update and made the grandparents little independent houses connected to the main house. One is on the first floor, and the other is a two story, to make it accessible for them and still allows them their own space.

I like the new goth house but it doesnt fit that Louisiana architecture anymore its seems to fit better in forgotten hallow. The house inside is nice but it felt some parts took away the character probably because of the cost of the rebuild and flooring. I do like how Alexander is in the house and not up alone in that tower but but his and Cassandra's room doesn't feel it reflects them. I do love the Spencer's home it was an eye sore before and looked confusing.

Lighting mods work fine for me. However if you’re using UI cheats or other gameplay mods those may need updating.

Some were upset because they were expecting a Sims Direct longer than seven minutes. I've been playing the Sims since Sims 1 and am use to EA so it wasn't a surprise on the length of the content. IMO they just went about it in a manner that upset quite a few. The content briefly mentioned was exciting but as usual I will wait and see. Also I will patiently wait for modders to update 🙂💙

The home menu is nice, but the news and advertisement feels really in your face. 😔 I just got done reading SimMattically's Patreon post about the future of the Refreshed Main Menu Mod. Apparently this refresh made it much more complex to update the mod, and coupled with some IRL stuff, they're not even sure it can be updated. 😢

Life Update: 1. I've moved out of a horrible living situation and moved into a space of peace and tranquility. 2. Now that I'm no longer struggling with a toxic situation. I'm able to breathe, refocus, and regain my clarity and positive outlook on life and its potential opportunities. 3. Kinda wished I didn't kick off 2025 with covid, but whatcha gonna do. 4. I quit a stressful dead-end job, and I'm going all in... on classes. Sometimes, girlie, as you know... you gotta jump 10 toes into the deep end. Sink or swim. Just do it. All the clichés. 😅 But... it's true. Anyway... thought I'd leave a little positive glow up in here. If ya know, ya know... hopefully, no more life updates. I don't expect a smooth ride... but I am not ruling it out, either. My man's picture is covering this place, and I feel loved... here. Even as I got sick, friends brought over food and items I couldn't get. My covid, this time lasted about 15 days... now just a stupid cough. I hope anyone who is struggling... finds that light and internal resilience that is deep in there. Flourish. Thrive. We're alive in 20 25.
