I actually didn't know about the home decorator pack bc I stopped playing for about 4 years. I found out via a CallMeKevin video, where he just utterly destroyed everyone's houses- I'm talking garbage and dead fish on every inch of the floor, one single solid color for all decor (if they like red, EVERYTHING is red), he even removed all the interior walls so the house was like one big room. Guess what? The Sims LOVED their new decor🙄🤦‍♀️ It's absolutely ridiculous. He could've bulldozed the house and put furniture in their fav color on the lawn and the Sims would've been like, "Yay! I love it! Here's your money!" So stupid.

Expansion Packs: 1-Growing Together: Since I have parenthood, I don't use Growing Together at all, even if I use I use not that much since I am all okay with parenthood. 2-For Rent: Do I need to talk about it? Game Packs: 1-Vampires: I know, it is... different. But hear me out! the only thing I love about Vampires is it has its own pack, the things I don't like in Vampires Pack is the quirks of Vampires are so shallow, like I did my sim the best Vampire and do you know wha thappened? He only made a sims dazed for a few hours. In short, the quirks are just like cheats I am doing to get the exact same emotion while playing the base game. 2-Jungle Adventure: Hear me out, I actually loved jungle adventure at first. But since this game is an EA game, it is always at first. The thing I don't like in this pack is it is not re-playable, you play it for 3-4 hours, get sad, happy, excited and then... pack is just finished. Stuff Packs: 1-Luxury Party Stuff: Okay, Okay I know. This is the second pack came to the Sims 4 (as far as I remember) it is normal to be this pack so shallow, but EA refreshed Spa Day Game Pack, what about Luxury Stuff? (And other all packs^^) The pack only comes with a few 2000 outfits, chocolate mountain and thats all. 2- Bowling Night Stuff: The whole pack is it's game. Just a bowling object, a few new animations, a few new "modern" objects, a stupid competition pop-up. I wish they made Bowling Night Stuff with City Living. (I am learning English, so my grammar could be bad and I am sorry if this comment was too long :

At this point we should be begging EA for new interactions and animations. A lot of the gameplay they release is like a remeshed version of something else. Watching my sim work the sale table from HCH does the same exact thing as the City living selling table, just slightly different. This one sells food. You get the same exact gameplay and animations of your sim standing at the table talking to other sims to get them to purchase. How is it fun to watch you sim to the same 5 animations over and over for re-meshed items? Give us something EA

Was it Sims 2 where you would actually have inventory and keeping the shelves full and clean? TS3 is my favorite, mostly because of the open world and swatches - I hated that EA/Maxis had so much stuff that didn't match in Sims 2 and Sims 4 - but there's a bunch of stuff from TS2 that could have been brought forward, especially to TS4.

The amount of reused animations seriously pisses me off. The dialogue wheel is full of interactions which do the same animation and the same function, the only thing different is the text you click. What the heck is even the point? Just to clutter the menus with illusions of choice? Oh btw, imagine my disappointment when my doctor sim gained a new interaction called "check hotness". I was like "A new romantic interaction? Awesome!" ...and then I tried it and, lo and behold, the same old freaking animations. Again, what's even the point? Ugh.

@@-Zikade- I agree! It makes it feel less immersive. No matter if our sims are having serious or fun conversations the animations are the same! It's truly like playing with dolls as a kid. You have to pretend all of these things and storylines are happing within your head instead of in the game. This is where the Sims 2 & 3 surpasses S4 because animations give the game depth and realism. I can spend hours playing the sims 3 without realizing how much time has passed because the game is that immersive. Sims 4, I build a house try to play and am bored of imagining the game in my head within 15 minutes.

The only thing good about the rock climber is that if you are a famous SiM and put it in a gym outdoor area then in winter time your fans freeze to death while watching you work out on it. So I accidentally became a serial killer and got 7 tombstones near the rock climber machine. It was a fun experience and the cemetery is beautiful.

I got my first pet stuff and the fitness kit that comes with yoga in a bundle for an expansion I did want. City Living? Maybe? All I remember is it was one that had literally nothing to do with pets or fitness, so I had no idea why it was bundled this way. But the bundle was cheaper than just getting City Living by itself so I went with it. I do enjoy having yoga in my game, but not so much that I ever would have bought it on purpose. I've never used anything from my first pet stuff.

The reason why the Sims 4 sucks is because there are no talented developers who work at EA or on the Sims 4. The only good devs EA have are working on NCAA25, because the people making that game actually love college football, and you can see it through the work their putting into it. People who are talented would much rather go work for a different company where they would be fairly compensated and wouldn't be yelled at by some toothpaste hair wokeling for actually putting challenge or real-life scenarios in the game. Anything that could remotely be interesting or fun has to be removed because it will trigger the grown adult audience who are so infantilized that they freak out if they see their own shadow. Why would anyone competent want to work on a corporate, Millennial, butterflies and rainbows simulator?

I’m glad you made the point about JtB. It is a VERY niche experience but as a huge Star Wars and sims fan I enjoyed it. It was my first standalone game pack purchase and I was hesitant because of the reviews but it’s honestly not bad. The droid and lightsaber gameplay is great and if you have seasons you can gift lightsabers to npcs to make more opponents. The storyline was decent (coming from someone who didn’t like the sequels). Personally I think they should’ve leaned into the occult side of Star Wars more than the vacation side making it a full world with a new sim state (force-sensitive). I also think the aspirations and storyline should’ve revolves around Jedi vs sith which is a more universal Star Wars theme than first order vs rebels. But it’s not a bad pack and it’s comparable to me to other occult packs which are also quite niche. If you want an action/adventure Star Wars experience I’d suggest Jedi survivor and if you want a tactical roleplay Star Wars experience I’d suggest knights of the old republic. But Jtb has its place as a Star Wars roleplay simulator game. At the moment it has the best character customization of any Star Wars game by a mile.

I have tried the dream home decorator career once hoping to find something new to do. I couldn't finish any jobs, because it glitched every time I tried to charge the customer. I feel like the repeating activities alone should get refunds on packs. Like going to school and popups don't do anything and you go to activities everyday and prom is every week. Or being a vet and doing the same thing over and over with no surprises. Or going to your career and it the same stuff again and again that it's kind of not worth playing live careers after you max your career or have the items you want from them. Or with routing in worlds with swimmable water your sim chooses get in and SWIM to school or work giving them fears or causing them to miss their shift. And the emptiness or same (Judith and Katrina) sim appearances in every single situation. Go to the club... It's Judith. Go to the pool it's Judith. Show up to your date. It's Judith. Like where are the other sims??? I find myself visiting the houses of single sims just to force them to meet.

The only reason I have My First Pet Stuff is that it was free on the EA app at some point. I feel like the number one pack that should be refunded is Luxury Party Stuff. There are like 10 items maximum. I don't remember exactly how many, but it was one of the first add-ons I bought, and it was such a scam. I did actually like the Moschino Stuff pack but specifically for the picture frames. I like my sims to be able to display pictures they took themselves. But you are completely right, the clothes are hideous. If they can't fix My Wedding Stories, Dine Out, or High School years, I don't know. They were able to update Spa Day, so I don't see why they can't do those too.

I was so excited to buy the horse ranch expansion pack. Even talked about it with my fellow co-worker that played the Sims as well. I got it at full price because I'm a numb nuts and couldn't be patient. I played it all excited and adopted a horse. I saw where you could run barrels and jump. As someone who irl owns a horse and has shown said horse, this was a huge let down for me. The barrels is what i was most excited for only to find out, there's 2. Barrel racing is done with 3, and this was so boring to watch when I had my Sim riding her horse. I would have liked to have seen something where they can train to weave in and out of poles or even an actual obstacle course. I wanted to get High School Days but now that I've seen it, it looks boring and lifeless as well. :(

Absolutely agree with the butler malfunctioning -- they at least need to add an action to the "management" section of the butler communication to be able to direct the butler to do the chores they missed. Most of the time my sims are pissed about how dirty their fitness area is and the butler is standing across the house, doing that dumb action where they swipe their finger and pretend there is no dust. I mean, I guess it's good because your sim can still build their handiness skill and earn a neat trait. That said, I don't think that the butler was optimized together with the release of Bust the Dust.

I'm personally so glad that "My first pet stuff" and "Romantic garden" were free last year so I didn't have to burn over 20 Canadian to get my hands on them. Honestly I hope My First pet Stuff is still free for those who get cats and dogs later on and don't wanna pay to have a hampter

I was so excited for horse ranch. Before it was even out, I made a sim specifically for it and built a big pink ranch style house and was fully planning to pre-order it. But with all of the bugs EA was having at the time, I decided to wait and watch different reviews. I even gave them the benefit of the doubt after watching the youtubers that got early access because I really wanted to trust that they would work it out, or maybe withheld some of the gameplay? But no, that was it. Now it's on sale and I still don't know if it would be worth it. I got High school Years and Get Together at the same time with the last sale, and had I gotten one first I would have stopped giving them money due to how many bugs are in the main draws of gameplay for each pack.

For a second there, when I first saw your straw I thought it was just the soda was foaming over... but it only took me a second to recognize and choke on my smoke... lol EDITED to add that I LOve Star Wars AND I adore the Star Wars build mode. Some of the items are my favorites and blend into style we lack already in the Sims 4 (like steampunk or cyber anything)!
