Nice reviews, I like you are doing basic trims most people buy 👍

Thank you for watching! I try to mix it up a bit, base and loaded ones as well.

I bought this same year/make/model. I removed the SORENTO letters in the back and it has a much cleaner look

I’m currently driving one as a rental with AWD. The color and wheel looks the same. A little slow, probably has the 2.4L engine. Rides nice and also has pretty all I needed. I drive an Acura and a MBZ. This Kia is fine. Makes me think I don’t need to spend a lot to get a lot. That’s why I’m looking for this Sorrento Video. I’d like to maybe get one to toss around for off-road and camping. Maybe modify for heavier off-road. My GLS does fine, but anything scraped or scratched on the chassis would be mega buckets for repair. It doesn’t have keyless entry and dark tinted window in the back for security.

If you are looking for camping etc than Sorrento X-line may be a good fit as it has slightly higher ground clearance(about 1inch) torque vectoring AWD. Center diff lock and more rugged look. But its a huge gap between GLS and Sorrento.

I have a 22 lx.. formal rental.. purchased with 40,000 miles.. slow? Not all of us race and abuse our engines.. We rarely pass 3000 rpm.. it goes as fast as i need it to

@@mygolfballsannoy yea seriously. nobody has even said "oh no I can't go to the mall because I got the base model". I'd rather have the extra money in my IRA so my kids don't need student loans and I can enjoy retirement.

@@mygolfballsannoynice, I’m looking into getting one that was a formal rental as well with the same amount of miles. I drive a lot maybe 30000 miles a year? Do you recommend me investing in this vehicle?
@mygolfballsannoy6 ай бұрын
@@TheRealGuy19 mmmm.. The car is relatively new, the engine is only a few years old though I’ve seen pretty much no failures. My two issues can be chucked up to the mileage so I would not call them failures… Just disappointing. Honestly, I would not, if you can settle on five seats, I will get a RAV4 or CRV. We are old and do not drive much anymore, so we sold our 2000 Ford excursion and got the smaller car. We took a chance, wife loves the car, but hopefully it was not a mistake but time will tell just my opinion, let everyone know what you decided, I’m subbed, make a video if you can have a great week

the mark up at the dealer pushes that to about $35,000. Also the blind spot detection system should be standard for all models. Makes no sense why the base model doesn't have it. My base Rav4 from 2019 has it.
@MattTheCarguy Жыл бұрын
It does have blind spot detection system. Also if your dealer is marking it up check out some othere. Not all have mark up.

@@MattTheCarguy I have the 2022 Sorento LX. It doesn't have it.
@MattTheCarguy Жыл бұрын
@@OHCAM5 maybe they changed it but it is listed as standard equipment on 2023 LX

@@MattTheCarguy Yeah looks like 2023 has it but the 2022 base model doesn't. Kicking myself for not waiting a bit for it. Just like mu 2019 Rav4 doesn't have Android Auto but the 2020 model does. Always a year off lol

Maybe push the second row seats down all the way next time. I want to see if they fold flat enough to be able to sleep comfortably.

It doesn’t have a 12 V power adapter in the front. What’s up with that ? I have a dash cam that needs a round 12V plug. Can’t use this car. Why does Kia think people don’t use these plugs anymore ? How stupid of them.

Major transmission failure on these since the 2021 redesign. Hope KIA gets that sorted soon because it's a nice SUV.

Those transmission issues are more prone with the turbo. I talked to the kia mechanic and we chose to go with a 2023 LX.
