Pro Speed Baseball Hey Michael, thank you for your reply , I really appreciate ... I didn´t see all your videos , but I want and I will ... about help , these days I´ve started searching about "mental skills baseball", because many times during in the game, specially on defense, I have the possible situations in my mind but when I have to act I freeze and do something different , I´d like to improve this skill, if you have some advise, tip or something to help everyone in situation like that It´ll be great..., but don´t worry, I know that is hard to keep a channel on KZbin ... Thanks again for your attention .. Ricardo

Hey Ricardo, almost nothing beats quality repetition when it comes to be being mentally prepared for a play. Example: If you practice 1000 perfect double plays, when you get a ground ball in the game your muscle memory will take over and you will have a great chance at executing the double play. I have a great mental strength video out on the channel right now (more coming soon). You can check that out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJ-XhWigrLB9jtE This is a great mental strength technique to help narrow your focus and block out the distractions. Keep in mind that, like anything else, it needs to be practiced and gets better the more you do it. Good Luck! ~Michael Pro Speed Baseball

I would caution against deciding where you are bunting before the pitch. For example, it may be tough dragging an outside pitch towards first base. Doesn't seem like a good idea.

Your description and demonstration of a drag bunt is absolutely wrong. Watch Mickey Mantle describing it in his video. There's also a drag bunt compilation video. A drag bunt is struck after the left-handed batter has already begun running to first. The rear foot (left foot) takes the first step toward first, and the bunt is pulled or dragged in the same direction the runner is going . . . as if he's "dragging" it with him. A drag bunt always goes on the first-base side of the mound.

What about bunting it to third base side when the third baseman is playing deep? Wouldn't a drag bunt work for either base side?
@puffyd583 жыл бұрын
@@robertdelatorre9795 Read what I said about "dragging" the ball with him as the hitter runs to first. If the bunt goes to third, the hitter isn't dragging it with him. He's pushing it away from him.

@@puffyd58 I understand what you mean by "dragging" but can you explain to me why not to third if he is deep? Because I am a lefty and it has worked out at times.
@puffyd583 жыл бұрын
@@robertdelatorre9795 I can't say it any clearer than I already have. When you drag something behind you, it has to go in basically the same direction you're running, or you're not dragging it. Picture holding a blanket as you're running to first base. There's NO way you can drag that blanket with you and have it go toward third. No way. Again, I can't say it any clearer. Have a good night.

@@puffyd58 Great example. Check Ichiro Suzuki, he is a lefty and by bunting it to third, it is a harder throw to make. There is even a compilation of right handed batters doing a drag bunt. You don't need to teach me how a drag bunt works... I know. All I asked in the beginning is why not third? Why not third? You said in the first comment to do a drag bunt is only bunt to first.
