Take the baby out of the cradle:) Meaning soft hands. Taking the baby(baseball) out of the cradle (glove) and then throw. Good right!

How about the fact the turn was a pop twist instead of right left with feet and that transfer of the "baby" was way up by the ear? I hope you aren't paying this guy for all these gimmicky stuff.

Quick question...and I'm center fielder at heart and catching is my son's passion so please don't judge... But for the different positions, what's the full intent of having one leg down? Is it to aid in more comfortably getting the glove down in the strike zone?

Yes, also too its to be more relaxed behind the plate when nobody is on base. Its not used all the time. Its mainly up to the catcher and how he feels behind the plate. Coach wants to make sure Shawn has everything is his bag and be a well rounded catcher. I hope that helps. Let me know. Thank you for the comment. Hope to hear back from you.

Hello, I'm a ten year old catcher and I have a question, how can I improve on framing lower pitches? I am having trouble with that, please let me know what I can practice on.

The easiest way to practice and get someone to have a bucket of baseballs and have them do a soft toss to you and have them throw low and then you bring it to your center. Its about funneling the ball back to your center. Muscle memory. Practice, Practice, Practice. Hope this helps let us know how your are doing. Thanks for the question. Talk to you soon.

Are you teaching to go from a traditional secondary position to a one knee down rodeo block?

@@catchthisSK the great thing about baseball is there is no cookie cutter approach. Everyone is different and we as coaches need to adapt to the needs of our student athletes. I have a different approach than the coach you are using. Doesn't mean I am right and he is wrong. Just different. If it is working for you and your son keep it up. Unfortunately I had to unsubscribe because it was killing me to see some of the things I disagree with. Keep working hard lil man. You are a beast.
