Gus didn’t want to lose his marriage over this , she was really cold and expected him to just leave his wife for her. When she actually felt remorse it was definitely too late to undo the damage. I agree with many of the comments on this movie. I really do not understand why we make up soft words to describe infidelity. Words like sleeping with him or her...a tryst...a one night stand...an affair. Hollywood words. One of the common situations that is missing from Hollywood is impulsive sex. Because that may not reflect in their perception of love. Which is the truth. not describe how serious it is to have sex with another person while you're e married. It's the greatest intimacy there is. When two people become one and speak to each other in loving ways during sex, it become a serious act and a broken trust. Love comes and goes, it can change between two people...but trust is most important. If it is broken, it is near impossible to recover. If you divorce first then play all you like that is better than cheating. Love is yours to analyze, trust is critical! Sorry for the rant!

Yet how often is it the truth. People WANT lots of things. Underneath the thin veneer of society we are animals and programmed accordingly. They seem to get tired of sex with a single person. The stupid thing is when they break up and divorce over that then marry another. Causing so much more harm than having an affair does. But the action that causes the greatest harm is the one society accepts. Try to figure that out if you can.

To the “Married Couples” Make sure you tell us the rest of your love story! I know it wasn’t easy and many times it’s like pulling teeth to stay together. You grow apart, then get back together. There are trials and tribulations throughout the “ENTIRE” marriage. Going along to get along. It hasn’t been an easy walk in the park. Most of the things you’ve found out about your spouse is nothing short of complete embarrassment and betrayal. Playing the role, became a way of life for both parties. Words really couldn’t express the things you’ll “never” be able to tell. So many humiliating “secrets” so brutal you’ll have to take them to the grave, quietly. I “choose” to remain single for LIFE! Peace of mind is everything to me. God gave me a sound mind, through Christ Jesus, my Lord and Savior. (Bible) A married couple will have many troubles....

@@kellyanndean9374 Men as they get older become grumpy and stay home in comfort by choice. The world gradually gets smaller for them. A fact of aging and change it brings. A heating pad on the shoulders and neck will help the pain. Marriages have there ups and downs. There winters and summers like all relationships. There mountains and valleys. Expect this. Like all relationships it takes work and forgiveness and awareness. Suggest trying counseling even if go alone. Suggest talking to a lawyer to find out rights. It helps to have some other person treat you with respect and point out your rights. At home you may then stand up for yourself. The way you dress and what you do each day makes a difference on how people treat you also. Consider wearing nicer clothes. Get out and find some groups to join like a Writers club or a Dance step class. One solution seen was to move the entire family and home to a new city as the spouse may just be in a rut and needs a new environment for stimulation.

Christian can be divorced but check rules of remarriage. Problem is even if okay to remarry under laws of Christianity the new person may estrange you from the children. The new spouse wants all emotions and time and new home. The children get pushed further and further away. Eventually they find a way to leave. Be aware that remarriage can make you lose children forever. Might want to wait until they are grown and able to live in own place.

You know why I think spouses have affairs? It’s because they don’t want to put forth effort and expect perfection. When their marriage starts off happy and/or exciting they stay faithful but once a routine sets in or they have problems, they get it in their head that they need something different rather than trying to work through the marriage issues and find a solution. They don’t believe that a marriage should be hard or that you have to fight to make it work. They don’t want to take the good with the bad. They can’t accept that love is something that requires effort and sacrifice. They think love and marriage should be perfect but newsflash it’s not. It never has been and it never will be.

@@keetahbrough You posed a judgmental question to her so I'm going to do similarly to you. *Why couldn't you just let her speak her truth without being a jerk?* She said she learned and will never hurt anyone again. Surely you've hurt ppl , even if cheating was not the way you hurt them. Sit down and stop trying to be right and point your finger at ppl. If that wagging your finger exercise holds value in your life when directing that finger at strangers, who are simply just taking a risk being open, you need a new, more positive, less Karen-y routine. What do you want her to do - decry her actions forever and perform rituals of self-harm for your amusement so you can feel superior?? Ffs.

Why would people cheat on their partners are very selfish individuals. They have the need to control and definitely they do not care who they hurt as long as their needs are met. Loyalty is the greatest asset anyone can have. I do not care the reasons anyone has or excuses for betraying anyone. It is never right. It is extremely wrong. Eventually Karma gets to them.

This lady is a sorry excuse for a wife and mother. Talk about not appreciating what one has. Wow!! Faithful husband... this lady left a good man for one who never loved her!
