That brought back some memories. I had many breakfast croissants at that Jack in the Box, walked every morning to Bradley Elementary school. I was told not to enter the housing area that was there or we would be kidnapped and killed. Lived behind that Bargin Thrift store for.most of our Elementary years on olive st in a 1 bedroom apartment. . We were dirt poor. My only goal when graduating HS was to leave. I live in Iowa now, so I guess goal achieved!

I lived in Rialto in 70s, having graduated from Ike in 1979. Been down this road countless times. It has hardly changed. Been to Amapola's many times. There used to be a place called "Jim's What-A-Steak" on Baseline. They had the best grinder sandwiches. Seems like the bridge over the 215 freeway is relatively new. I honestly don't remember how it was before. Good to see that Alfredo's Italian is still there. Great food! Snow-covered San G in the background is spectacular. We used to go to the Studio walk-in movie theater on Baseline, and the Baseline Drive-In theater. They both evidently are gone.

I remembered Baseline St. when I was a little kid back in 2009. I used to take the OmniTrans to take so many buses to different destinations such as Walmart and other restaurants because we didn't had a car. I had some okay/good/bad memories living on Baseline St. with my grandmother and my brother. I remember everything changed so drastically when stores closed down permanently such as Smart & Final. I did see they demolished 2 thrift stores that were near to each other in 2018 or 2020. It's a good thing I moved out of there in 2015 because it was out of control of fighting and conflict.
