How can Cleemis thirumeni call himself a Catholicose? There is only one catholicose in Kerala and he resides at Devalokam. All the others are frauds.There are no Catholicoses or Patriarchs or metropolitans in catholic churches ! There are only Popes, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops etc in a Catholic church. So I think this title should not be used by Kerala bishops other than the malankara metropolitan of Devalokam Aramana. I know these catholic bishops predicament. They are all bishops of the syriac tradition. Sadly they went away and joined with the Latin church. Now nothing can be done other than coming out of the Latin yoke and being independent like the Marthoma church who have not gone and joined with the Anglican church even though they have also come out of the orthodox church like the Syro-malankara church..

Cleemis baava thirumeni is one of the Major archbishop and also called as the Catholicos of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church as per the particular canon of the Syro Malankara Catholic Church..The title Major Arch bishop in Catholic church means The Father and the head of the particular autonomous Church.. On 2005 on words The Syro Malankara Catholic Church was erected to a Major Archi Episcopal Church. Which means it was erected as a Particular Autonomous Church in Catholic community.. As per the tradition of Syrian Antioch the Father and head of the particular church will called as catholicos.. Based on this, in the code of particular canon of Syro Malankara Catholic Church(CPCSMCC) defines The father and head of the Syro Malankara Catholic Church will called as Catholicos.. This particular law was approved and signed by Pope.. So the title Catholicos used by the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church gets the approvel from rome.. That means the title Catholicos in Syro Malankara Catholic Church is Validated..

@@Jisskannam What a foolish and idiotic explanation ! Does the Syro-malankara catholic church belong to the syriac orthodox church of Antioch ? Not at all ! The Catholicose or the Maphriyano is a position below the rank of the Patriarch and was exclusively created for the Syriac Orthodox community belonging to the Persian empire as the Patriarch of Antioch could not exercise his powers over the people of the Persian empire as the Patriarch was residing in the Roman empire. In that period of history both the empires were in a bitter rivalry. This Catholicose's post was discontinued few centuries back and was re-established in Malankara at Devalokam by the Patriarch of Antioch. Now the Catholic church of Rome has nothing to do with the Syriac church of Antioch. But because of their cunningness, they went around splitting the orthodox churches all over the world and hence in Kerala also we have the Syro- malabar and the syro- Malankara churches formed from the ancient Kerala Syriac Orthodox Christians. At present the universal Roman catholic church is formed out of 24 independent churches and syro- malankara and syro- malabar are just two of its constituent churches. The Latin catholic church has about 120 crore adherents where as the rest of the 23 independent catholic churches put together have less than 1.2 crore ( 1%) adherents only. All these 23 independent catholic churches were formed by splitting the ancient orthodox churches over the centuries. I do not understand why this Latin church want to split the orthodox churches all over the world ? Syro- malankara is one of the latest victims in Kerala. The earlier one was syro- malabar catholic church. The truth sometimes is bitter my friend. I am really surprised that even in this age of social media many of the syriac christians are unaware of these facts and they just continue to believe the lies being fed by some of those Latin loving priests of these churches. Come out of that Latin yoke my friend if you call yourself a syriac christian. So my friend your major Archbishop Cleemis cannot call himself a cardinal as well as a catholicose. It is mixing up of two traditions. It is idiotic and foolish and I do not know what else to call such evil practices which has been inspired by the devil ! It only exposes your church's cunningness ! Same is the case with the catholicose of the Jacobite group. I can understand it as that has happened because of the infighting and that will go away once they both reunite in the near future. There can be only one Catholicose in the west syriac tradition. All others are frauds and illegal !

@@Jisskannam What authority Pope has over the Syriac Christians. He is the head of the Latin church only. Syriac church has its own Patriarch. Similarly the church of Alexandria ( or the Coptic church ) has it's own pope. All these heads of the churches are equal in all respect. So do not assume that the Latin Pope is the head of the entire christian community. You should understand his limitations as the head of the Latin church. Just because he orders his stooges to split the orthodox churches and make them part of the Latin church does not allow him to create a separate catholicose for the split away group. Catholicose is a title which can be given by the Patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch only. This nonsense of the Latin pope interfering in and splitting other orthodox churches should be opposed tooth and nail. How long this nonsense of this Latin Pope and his stooges will continue in this world ? Sadly you people have also become victims of this Latin pope and have become part of the Latin church. Run away from this idiotic idol worshipping, pachchamama worshipping people.

Christianity is not a religion of a period or area. Even Jesus don’t appreciate divided Christian church. Hence there has to be one single head. The most appropriate is Pope … that’s all.

First of all most of the christians do not consider the idol worshipping latin catholics as christians itself. You Latin people started a propaganda stating that the Latin church of Rome was started by St. Peter himself ! I challenge you people to prove from the records that it is the fact ! How long you can fool the christian community with your lies ! Enough is enough ! As far as the true church tradition goes it is the syriac Church at Antioch which is the only church started under the leadership of St. Peter. You may add the church at Jerusalem also even though the credit should actually go to James, the brother of Jesus. The Latin Pope got prominence( first among the equals ) among the Pentarchy because emperor of Rome was ruling all these places where the Pentarchy was there.Till 4th century when christians were being persecuted by the roman emperors, who was the head of the united church sir ? Was there a concept of a united church at all ?
