The frame that you are giving away that has a place for different pictures; you could put your grandma's note and some of your daughters notes in that frame; any left over areas in the frame you can put a picture of your grandma and your girls. I would hang it somewhere in the house. You can put a nail on each side of the mirror and then get some wire at Walmart to hang around the nails. They have wire that will hold up to 35 pounds, and then you can hang it with an anchor. This is how I hang my vintage mirrors.

Insecticidal soap should work for the spidermites, it worked for my roses. I killed all of my houseplants years ago when we had our water softener installed, so we had a faucet installed in the basement just for plants. So happy I can grow things now. Hope your plants recover.

20:40 the mirror you can use a French cleat hook! I just used one to hang an antique heavy mirror - you would have to attach it up high to screw into the wooden frame, and just use short screws so it doesn't go all the way through. It would look so pretty in a half bath or entryway!

Yes! Use a French cleat to hang a heavy mirror. Hang it in the basement between the tv and the wall and then under it put your Dunn sign that your friend made. You’ll be storing it and enjoying it as well!😊

I have always hung a mirror close to my front door. It is easy to put some small hooks on the back of the mirror, with a metal wire.

Great job decluttering! We have been doing a lot of cleaning and decluttering. So far we have taken a load to the dump of broken things. Yesterday a load went to Goodwill! It feels so good. I am going to finish my upstairs today. I am so excited to be done! Sorry, I don't know anything about plants. I hope you get things figured out for your beautiful plants! I hope you have a great week!

I love that mirror, how beautiful she is! 😍 I’m an absolute diy-gal, but I would bring her to a professional to put on a wire on the back. No projects for me this week, I’m spending all my time and money at the local vets atm. My old dog is really down, and I fear for the worst.. 😔

Happy New Year, Jodi & family!!! Yes, it's nice to get the things out of the house that you're giving away! Funny, your whole family coming downstairs to be with you, even Flash & Tom too! So cute with cutie outside & it looks cold! For the mirror, I would put some strong eye hooks on the back & heavy duty wire. That should hold it. Also, put 1 or 2 wall hooks, then hang the mirror carefully on them. About your plants. I have the same problem. I usually underwater, but I get yellow leaves either way! So I might have spidermites, too. I don't have too many plants at the moment! I did have a porthus climbing one that I had & it was almost all around the room up on the wall with hooks close to the ceiling! It was so good for a while, but then it started getting yellow leaves & did fall off. It was bare leaves from the main plant til about halfway to the ones towards the end & they looked great. So I finally cut them off & made 2 plants, cut the bad part out. They were fine for awhile, but then they started yellowing again. So I don't know what to do. They finally died. Maybe I had spidermites too! I'm going to get some new plants here when spring comes! Maybe humidifiers would help! I'll try & get one when I get my plants! Your basement is looking better, & when you do it more, it'll look even better in the next video. I love your basement videos! I need to take my Christmas tree & other decor down. I just haven't had the patience or energy to do it! Donna Jean is looking so grown up & pretty! Thanks for sharing! ❤️😉🫂🐾🌹🦋📓✏️🇺🇲🎨🖌✨️

Morning, Jodi😊 I'll be back. EFIT... BACK.. CORDS look like go to DVD PLAYER. ....yes. everyone wants to be there when you clean/ declutter because they're afraid you'll throw out something they want. 😆 I FINALLY got the carpet completely up... except what's under the heavy furniture pieces I can't move . ... Swept and cleaned the hardwood underneath. Looks like someone used a paint sprayer all over 1 section of the floor. Plus 3 coax cable holes not even near each other. Next up, reorganize and replace everything BEFORE my son comes home from Thailand missions trip. All while waiting for power to get knocked out during expected ice storm .... Which ended up not being as bad as expected. No power loss. Found a single canning jar that had popped it's lid. Which occasionally happens - I think some dill weed ended up between lid and jar even after wiping down before canning. So 1 out of 5 identical jars had a problem. It happens sometimes. Plants, spider mites.... They can come in on pets, too and get spread that way. Treat and "bag isolate" each plant individually to remove the spider mites.

We have had spider mites, but more on the cactus and citrus tree..... on those it looks scaley on the succulents and the citrus tree gets little white dots on the leaves where they suck out the chlorophyll or whatever. The others get webs (peace lily, one of these trailing things, spider plants, etc), but that is because I wound up with gnats and actual spiders showed up. Those all go through a bit of a molt every once in awhile but I believe that is more of a dormancy wintertime thing. I try to clean them up and let them be for a bit then fertilize.
@GoingGreenMom

The citrus and succulents do get webs, but much smaller webs than the other plants that live in my bathroom. Almost like if you weren't looking you wouldn't see it between the thorns and the stem.

We spent last weekend emptying out under our basement stairs and shuffling storage bins into the garage and then refilling the storage area with things to stay inside. We are preparing for baby #3 near the end of March and I am feeling the time crunch SO hard. We are swapping our bedroom with our play room, so there is that monumental task - moving all the contents of both rooms, painting, cleaning, decluttering...then finally preparing the nursery. I sure hope we can get it done by the time she arrives, but I am already so tired.

Happy New Year, Jodi! I get more done in the house when I’m by myself too. The time does go by quickly, but I feel I get so much more accomplished. You’re right about getting rid of things the second or third time around. It is so much easier. The one thing I’m determined to do is get rid of anything cardboard because it just breaks down and just doesn’t look nice. I’ve invested in some bins and reused some I had and it looks much nicer. Isn’t it amazing how much stuff we accumulate, lol? I have a card to me in my mother’s handwriting that I deeply cherish. She’s been gone for 30 years. I’m currently putting cookbooks together for my two grown children that includes recipes in their grandparents handwriting. I added pictures of the food items as well as when they were little helping me bake. It is really turning out well. Can you let me know the link to that cutting board? It would be a nice addition to the cookbook. I’ve seen older heavy mirrors, hung with a wire attached to two screws on each side of the back of the mirror. It balances out the weight without having it hung on one screw.

I wonder if plants are just objecting to dry climate? It's that time of year, and lighting will be different with winter here. Since you saw nothing...oh, a bit of leaf damage...cat attack? I get concerned when I bring a new plant home, looks fine, then later realize something hitchhiked along in soil. I need to start keeping new plants separate until they prove healthy. Boston ferns, really bad!
@patpalmer1337

Pothos leaves often turn yellow primarily due to overwatering, which leads to root rot and prevents the roots from properly absorbing water, causing the leaves to yellow; other potential causes include inadequate light, poor drainage, extreme temperature changes, or simply the natural aging process of older leaves on the plant.

Since I took down my xmas decorations, I have been decluttering my basement. I am trying to clear out a corner in my basement to set up a shelving unit or two. I decluttered about 7-8 bags of donations. I even decluttered a set of glasses/wine glasses/mugs. Then of course, I bought a set of stemless wine glasses (that I wanted) and a set of everyday glasses that I wanted (the other one's were from my sister and from my in-laws that we bought our house from).

Got pothos because those are one of the easiest plants to care for. Apparently not so easy here. After going through many soils and lots of frustration, settled on water. They are beautiful and thriving. Not for everyone i get it but water did the trick. Just replace water once a week. No pests, fungus, mold and everything other issue.

For the mirror: Take it to a professional framer. Most art stores have a framing department. They will install the professional hardware that you need based on the weight of the mirror. When you bring it home, make sure you drill into a stud to hang it. Don't just use a nail, use proper picture hardware. :)
