Aw, you look sooo worn out at the end there. I’ve been there while finishing my whole basement from studs and concrete with my husband. I really admire your perseverance, though I’m sure your love for your family and needing to get the video out were some powerful motivators. Revel in your well-earned sense of satisfaction. And don’t forget the cabinet door hardware….👍

Ah yes. Drinking beers while doing projects. I commented on your community post, about which summer project I did. I did my kitchen. While I was drinking beers on Father’s Day, nailing in the hardwood floor, I gave myself a doozy! I was on my knees, setting in my next board with my hammer n block, and I MISSED my block and NAILED my finger with the pick end of the flooring hammer!!! Yeah… Father’s Day… late afternoon… bout… 6 beers in…. Blood was flowing pretty darn good!!! That’s when I said, “ Ok. Time to call it quits “ Love you guys, Taylor n Heidi! My wife n 3 kids are all big fans!!!

End bit is hilarious! Wonderful job, as is the rest of your home :) and I so love that you two include the kids to whatever degree they want to help. My sisters and I have loads of wonderful memories doing different home improvement projects with our parents. The older we got, the more complex tasks and we carried those foundational skills into adulthood and are now doing the same with our own kids 😁😁😁

Absolutely love what you did with the basement, your kitchen and all your other projects that you do. You and Heidi make stressful homeowner things look like so much fun. Heads up on your storage couch. I had one and it worked great until the lower frame for the pullout bed broke and had to Jerry rig it back together to get it to fold back down correctly. It will be great for the kids, but not great for 'you wanna....' if you catch my drift 😉 Cheers to you, your family, and all good things going forward. Your videos are always a pick me up.

Great job! What an awesome example for your family to make mistakes, but continue to work hard and do it right. It looks easy in a 15 minute video, but I know for a fact that was a ton of work: blood, sweat, tears and a whole lotta love!

@@TSITTEL13 We are coming to to our 34th year, and are still together in spite of renovation projects. Lol. We renovated a basement suite a few years back. Oh man. The suite turned out gorgeous but lots of blue air and tears before we finished! And every project we were sure would be the end of us,haha!! (Actually, one year, on our street, 3 couples renovated their houses, and then ended up divorced!! And they had been together a long time. My husband and I were pretty nervous that year. We have a laundry room reno coming up....fingers crossed, lol )
