Totally agree😊 I’ve tried several options and the Spud strap is the easiest to use. The only thing I do differently is that I put the strap just inside the collars on the actual bar. This probably only works on narrower racks like REP, but this way I don’t have to unload the chains to add weight plates to the bar. Great video👍👍👍

Yeah I would worry I'd be on the rack, but makes sense!

@@BasementBrandon Totally. I squat outside of a 47 inch Rep rack with spotter arms, so no worries about hitting the rack. Definitely wouldn’t want to hit the lower crossmembers with the chains!!

Hey Brandon - great video! I had asked you for this before and you delivered! Thank you for giving the people what they want! Do you use bands much these days? I’d love to see a similar video and how you like to set those up

Not as often, harder to measure band tension so I tend to avoid it lol.

I have the Spud Inc looper straps and love them for all the reasons you mentioned. The main reason I bought them is because Rogue Canada sells them, so they were the cheapest, best option for me.

It's a techno gym tree. It has a ridiculous MSRP of like $4,000 but I found one used for $250 lol.

I've used the EliteFTS EZ Loaders for a long time and have never had an issue with them sliding off. Do you mean during sets or progressively over the course of a squat session?
@Tony-plkpc

He clearly doesn’t know how to use it, the EZ straps should be put either first or after the last plate then the collars

I actually fund some chain collars on Amazon. They have a thumb screw to lock them in place on the bar. I use them with the leader chain and I put painters tape on the chain where I need to connect it.

I use a similar product from Sorinex --> Sorinex Daisy Chains. They are currently around $33 for a pair and pretty versatile (also won't mess up your bar).

For me I feel like it keeps me more stable and helps with my movement patterns (anecdotal). Not sure if it actually is making me stronger, but it's a fun exercise and I enjoy it, so that's enough for me.

Any chance you could do a short video on using the Heavy Hangers with bands? I recently got them and I'm still trying to find the best way to attach bands. I also have a Rogue rack, so I'm running into the issue of not being able to face them inwards as they were intended. Thanks!!
@BasementBrandon

I can try. I imagine if you're able to use a bar with thicker collars, or create a fake collar by adding small change plates on first that it may help.
