Hobao Buggy are the best. I have been running those buggies since 2000 when the 1st generation Hyper 7 buggy was rrelease. I have. 10 Hyper 7, 3 Hyper 8, 3 Hyper 8.5, 2 Hyper 9, 2 Hyper Star, 3 Hyper SS and 3 Hyper VS. All are Nitros. This Hobao buggy are build like a Tank. Get the Hyper VSe RTR.

I miss the British countryside but not that weather, just been out for a walk in the forrest here on vancouver island in shoet and a T-shirt :) I would buy one of those as it looks to be a really well build buggy and for the size its a good price.. I would say charging lipo batteries, I always balance charge them in the pairs that I am going to use them in..

Yep the rear springs need swapping out for stronger ones to stop the chassis squaring under power. It really did help sort that out. If I put more power in it I would silicon up the centre diff as well with silicon ear plugs.

20k oil in all 3 diffs, 3k oil front and 4k rear for shocks, remove ride height adjustment screws from underneath and put them back in from the top to give an extra bit of ground clearance but still having the adjustability if required and you have a very good handling rally/rallyX set up

Love the videos but you need to sort your background music out. It's either super over the top dramatic or really cheesy dance, something a bit more subtle would help loads. Keep up the good work :-)

@RCKickschannel4 жыл бұрын
You can’t get one for £350 and this is what you can get this kit up and running for. Don’t forget Adding new tyres and rims and an expensive ESC isn’t essential for this buggy. I had the ESC already and I changed the wheels myself as I wanted to drive it in dirt and mud.

for new comers to RC cars, DO NOT use a 10th scale ESC in a car as heavy as the 8th scale VS... spend a little more money on the ESC and use the HobbyWing EZrun Max8, save some money on the motor by using a clone Castle 2650kv motor which are just as good as an authentic Castle Creations 2650kv at a fraction of the cost and you have a very fast and reliable power system on 4s or 6s batteries and costing no more overall than the 10th scale set-up RCKicks has fitted to the VS in this video
@RCKickschannel4 жыл бұрын
Unless you had the ESC already from another project that wasn’t needed anymore and using that would work fine and save you having to spend any extra money on said EZRun Max8. If you don’t then like wolffink73 said, the Max8 would be a great choice for a 1/8th.

@@RCKickschannel an excellent budget 4s power unit is the Team Orion Vortex R8 WP 130amp 2-4S ESC Plus Vortex 8 2000kv 4 Pole Motor Combo available from PBM Racing for just over £100 (used this set-up in my Hyper GT for a while after burning out my XErun 100amp and it ran really well for a 4s system before buying a Max8 combo so i have the option of running 4s or 6s)... still have the Orion combo in my spares box as a back up incase i should burn out another ESC
