When you say “don’t worry about the neckline right away, it doesn’t have to be perfect while establishing the line...” that has helped me so much!!! I just do my cut then customize the neck line at the end. I’m fairly new to precise bobs so thank you!

I think this is one of the most beautiful cuts in the world, when done well. People think it's "out," but it's flattering and beautiful. I have one regular client who asks for it. I do some texturinzing and it so cute. Shhe looks amazing.

The timing could not be more perfect-FSE on demand is AMAZING. I started watching your vids in hair school and it was YOU and your free youtube videos not my teachers that had people requesting me because of the consistent quality of good work I was doing. I'm cutting hair in a chain salon now and that app is going to be a go-to for me like a little hair bible! Thank you for continuing to create these videos Matt I just placed another order on FSE for some new ys park clips-they are really helpful with sectioning a bob and they never fall or slip out!

This cut is so well done, it's so precise and so neat, that not only does it look good freshly cut, but I also think it will allow hair to grow back in good shape without having to maintain it too often, which helps a lot when you have little time to take care of it. Congratulations on your excellent technique, and thank you for sharing your expertise so generously. I have learned a lot in just a few minutes, it is just what I was looking for. Greetings from Argentina.

First off, THANK YOU for doing these free videos!!! It is truly appreciated!!! Also, I was only in haircutting for 6 months when a shoulder injury forced me out of haircutting, its been nearly 3 years and my shoulder is at 95% now, but because ive been out of it for so long, I need to reeducate myself. The angle Bob has always been one I could never get the hang of, so I am hoping if I watch long enough it will finally click. Thank you and God bless you!!!

For those of you saying this is a “Karen” cut, you’re wrong! I have this A line bob and I get compliments constantly. It is difficult to perfect, but very elegant and classy, but can also be really fun with a little product and messy-ing. It can also be sexy when flattened perfectly and one side tucked behind the ear. It flatters so many face shapes and is way WAY more interesting than a straight bob. I love this technique, I’m going to share it with my stylist!!

YES!!! Set yourself up with at least one pair of really good scissors and multi-sourced lighting...both stationary mirrors and a hand held....but most importantly, tons of patience mixed with a desire to enhance your best features. Wait to cut your hair when you feel good about doing so...take lots of breaks...i'll even spread a haircut out over a stretch of time if it's one that requires tons of time and effort. Think positive and triple check everything before each snip. If I had a friend who enjoyed hair cutting like I do, i'd team up watching videos together and help one another to create desired styles. I've paid money at hair salons around the world and only twice was I happy with a cut because they're so quick to plop you down in the chair, convinced they are the expert, and within a few minutes they start cutting instead of taking the time to understand your head shape, growth patterns, face shape, etc.. Most people's hair doesn't fall perfectly like a mannequin and we probably have features we'd like to enhance or tone down. For instance, I have a less than perfect jawline, a round face, a thin crown, a short neck and the back of my head is too flat so if someone accentuates any of that i'm gonna go home and cut it myself. A good haircut that is suited to enhance your own individual positive points needs understanding for your more beautiful features to become the main focal point. This is why I absolutely prefer my own hair art. It may not be perfect but when i'm happy with a cut there's something special about wearing something you've created yourself with tender loving care and understanding.
