Emmental is from a REGION not a TOWN called Emmental. FYI. ☺️

Emmental is the contraction of Emme(= a river's name) and Tal(=valley), basically the valley in which river Emme flows. And the cheese is called Emmentaler Apenzeller is a cheese from Appenzell, a canton (and also a district) , where the city of Appenzell lies (but an Appenzeller is also a citizen of Appenzell) Le Gruyère is a cheese from La Gruyère, a region, where Gruyères (a city) lies. Seems confusing at first sight, but makes quite sense in the end. ;-) Keep up the good job: you'll have plenty of fun to get into the details which many Swiss people have different views about and don't necessarily agree upon.

Yeah you’re right. There are plenty of details that I didn’t quite specify here also because I myself am confused on which town is a town and so on...but thank you for clarifying and I hope I am promoting Switzerland in a good way and that is also true, the longer I stay the more I’ll learn about Switzerland in detail.
