Excellent! I've been flying for years and have just recently become interested in helicopters. Right off I like the way you use the controller. I've always used my fingers and wonder how fast accurate control can be had with your thumbs. Thanks. I know I'll learn tons from your videos.

RC flyers that exhibit advanced coordination always use the more delicate approach with thumb control on their precision gimbles. Ask Martin Pickering.
@gstoybox51552 ай бұрын
Whatever works for the person, but I find that pinching is more precise, especially when you have your expos turned down/off. I only recommend, I am not forcing anything down people's throat.

You increase the collective which is throttle and pitch. Right stick is cyclic.

Yup, you are correct. But there you are also able to program radios to do the opposite, I think some DJI drones have this ability too.

Where can I get all of this stuff at the software and remote?
@gstoybox51553 жыл бұрын
Well I got mine from my local hobby shop, the remote came with the program. There are many online hobby shops like "amainhobbies" or "absolutehobbyz" that should carry them. Otherwise you can probably try Horizon hobbies directly.

Some flight sims come with the cheap transmitter & works well for training in indoors because it has a cable.If your really interested and want to get serious for outside flying it gets very expensive.You will need a model like a helicopter or plane then you will need a transmitter which has to comunicate with your model.your thansmitter has 2 modes,mode 2 is used for the UK and mode 1 is for the USA & maybe other countries,the stick operations are swapped around.Search for model planes or helicopters in the country you live in, alot of other items can be sort after in other countries, China do sell alot of what you want.Please watch youtube videos of all items you need then check prices etc.Flight simulators are well programmed to give you a realistic flight & some better than others.

How to set idle up for inverted Heli flight ?
@gstoybox5155 Жыл бұрын
You have to ensure that your idle up mode/switch are activated in the settings (controller setup) and that they are on the correct switch you wish for it to be (I run on Channel 11, tri-state-bottom 9 & 10 ).

Is that phoenix simulator not realistic then real flight ?
@gstoybox515511 ай бұрын
I have flown the phoenix simulator as well and I can honestly say that they feel very similar to each other. Yet it should be said that I haven’t flown on any simulator that gives 100% feel to flying a RC helicopter in real life. The flight characteristics are slightly different in that manner. One could argue that can come from my actual helicopter(s) settings etc. The honest purpose of a simulator is to obtain muscle memory so when you do go out and fly, the controls will feel more natural.

@gstoybox51554 жыл бұрын
@ windybuns, you are correct and I am not quite sure what is going on there. But with your real helicopters they are able to do the same thing, but are typically programmed with what is called a "soft startup" in the ESC.
