I have the Rytm connected via midi to an external midi controller. Pads can be played chromatically respective of pad number. So here I had my controller set to channel 2 to correspond with pad 2. Would be a great idea for a video! Thanks!

thanks for this video. Any idea where I can find a link that shows exactly how to update my unit? I have 1.45 and still had trouble getting it to update based on what I found in the literature.
@16Steps4 жыл бұрын
Sorry I don't have a link for a video explaining, but maybe I can help u get it updated. As of rn 1.50A is the current version. You will need either a sysex program or elektron's c6 to update. I use a free app called sysex librarian. Lemme know where u having problems and I might be able to help

@@16Steps Thank you. Has yours ever had any "power related reliability issues?" There have been a couple times where the power adapter is securely plugged into the unit, and when I turn it on nothing happens. The screen remains completely dark. Then I switch it on and off on and off, same thing. Then I waited a few minutes. Unplugged power adapter, replugged in, and tried it again and it turned on. This will be my new main rig and want to make sure it is reliable for live performance and studio time. Lol, really don't want to be concerned with it not turning on at a show or a valuable studio session. Considering using warranty to have different one sent, unless others have seen this happen and it consistently works after a few flawed start ups on occasion. thanks!
@16Steps4 жыл бұрын
@@brokenstring21 actually, yes. When I first got mine, there was something rolling around inside it and was doing exactly this. I returned it for a replacement, no problem.

Hi! How do you connect a controller keyboard to analog rytm?
@16Steps3 жыл бұрын
plug it in to the "midi in" jack, then configure settings in the RYTM
@dosanddonts29194 жыл бұрын
Is this also possible with the mk1?
@16Steps4 жыл бұрын
I believe it is. You will need the latest OS, but should be able to use the dual vco on those bottom four voices.

I can never seem to get any good sounds out of the DVCO on my Rytm. Theres like 60+ waveforms/patches off the bat and they all sound pretty bad.
@16Steps5 жыл бұрын
It is a limited synth to be sure, but for my uses, I am able to make some cool basses, fx type stuff or droney sounds with it. I also usually run audio out of individual outs and use things like chorus and eq. So yeah, dualvco has limits, but can also be a good source of inspiration.
@johncaccioppo11423 жыл бұрын
It seems like a lot of the features of Elektron gear sound best when automated, just setting a static tuning doesn't do much until you put it in motion.

It's a shame Elektron Only made this with 3 analogue voices this would have been a No brainer if it had 12 ANALOGUE VOICES ... or better yet 16 ... I do love the " " Electron " " sequencer & performance But they are asking for a healthy premium Price for essentially 8 voice " drum machine " . Great video BTW .
@johncaccioppo11423 жыл бұрын
I think the sampling feature kicks it into a completely different class.

How long does it take in your vid friend? Please share a link.
@bitspacemusic2 жыл бұрын
@@respectfulremixer What's you point? Bad editing is excused just because you made a video? No, that's not how it works. Watch good reviews/videos from the top channels and they start with sounds from the get go. A good example is Loopop.

After 10 minutes in I finally hear the first sounds on my Macbook speakers. Bass is nice and all, but man, us users of terrible speakers want to hear something too. I'd like to advise to cut the bass of your recording, for a video like this one, at 1kHz and then hear what is left, if you don't hear a sound from the synth then there might be some details you could possibly improve on. Also, minutes of preparation to finally show the FM part, and then quickly rush the sound demonstration and not really show a lot of the available sounds? Man, you can do better, in the future at least. :)
