Last January my 9th class batch went to HM from Nepal to do an Adventure corse for two weeks and treak the highest point of westbengal at age 15, Lucky I had the same instructure Umag Sir also in our corse. At Iast I would like to thank di to motivate me to take the basic corse for the further. Love and support form 🇳🇵

Thanks for such an insightful video! I have few questions. Are we allowed to take out personal laptop? The days we trek and stay in mountains.. do we get internet connectivity? Will it be possible to use our laptops for an hour or 2, everyday ?

Hey Ishan, Umm, you can carry your laptop till HMI campus. But for the basecamp you wont be able to. Because - we dont have any network after Tshoka. So after Tshoka for the next 13 days your phone becomes your camera. :) You wont get any network. - i guess that answers your internet connectivity question too. But at HMI (Darjeeling) you can use laptop. Jio works best for the connectivity in Darjeeling and in Tshoka. Hope this helps. !:)

Hi, How cold was it, as you seemed to have done in november? How did you record at basecamp for so many days? Was there charging facility everywhere or only one place as u show in video. also any network connections working in any of the camps throughout the course? Any disadvantage of doing course in november? Like less snow/ice, so ice craft training not happening in best way possible etc?

- i had powerbanks - charging facility was limited per person (depending on the number of trainees) - no network after Yuksom - no disadvantages, just I felt we were too much, our was two batches (guys and girls) combined due to Covid. So at point the basecamp was crowded.

Hey Richa, yes sure! process is simple, -go on hmidarjeeling.com -download application form and medical certificate form -fill the application form -get ready to get the medical tests done mentioned in the medical form -get the medical form filled by MBBS Dr (I would suggest go to your family Dr) -pay to HMI from your preferred payment method. -take the screenshot of the transaction ID and get it printed -put an envelop together with filled application from, medical tests (Xerox copy), transaction ID (printed) and filled medical form signed by your MBBS Dr. -send this envelop via a good courier to HMI darjeeling -wait for their revert via email. Done! hope this helps.

I'll be going in 356(April 2023) and still confused about insurance thing. What all to be included in it and where to get one? It says they provide it on cost basis if so, what are the charges for the same? Nobody talks about the insurance thing in any of their posts. It'd be really helpful if you answer this @@tailormadechaos :)
