Got my copy of this earlier this month and I am so absolutely excited for the physical book coming later this year. I also have a physical copy of the big yellow book edition of BRP and I absolutely thank you for this page through and review of the new edition. ❤

I first ran into BRP as part of the Worlds of Wonder box set in the early 80s.

Oh man, I'm going to need to get this when it hits print. I never picked up the gold book. I haven't owned an actual copy since the 16 or 20 page pamphlet version that came in the Worlds of Wonder box. But it was always such an amazing system that was so darned versatile. I've been kicking around running a game in the setting my WIP novel is set in for a while, and BRP keeps coming back around as the system I'd most like to use.

I was a huge fan of Stormbringer, RuneQuest, Elf Quest and CoC back in high school. I love the new version and look forward to digging in to the system deeper. The formatting in this new version is much easier to read.

This looks like a stellar update of my long time favourite core system. I will get this as soon as finances allow [totally grabbing a physical copy as soon as it becomes available]. So many ideas coming into my head for this. The inclusion of passions etc make this a must have for me, despite already owning a pod of the gold book. The versatility that Chaosium have demonstrated with this, not only in how it can handle any genre imaginable, but also how you can slide the level of detail/crunch to suit the gameplay of your group [or, again the vibe of the setting], is what makes BRP such an incredible robust AND versatile system. Really excited for this one.
