@AmazingRussian2 жыл бұрын
@@alchemiaofficial1464 , all these phrases are correct (prepositional and accusative). However, I do not know the context you are referring to, and how you are going to use them.

@@AmazingRussian An example of each would be 1) нанесите воду на лицо 2) у меня вода на лице I’m wondering why these are different cases

@@alchemiaofficial1464 , нанесите воду на лицо - accusative case showing direction. У меня вода на лице - prepositional case showing location.

how come it isn’t сапогях, or каблукях. When the nominative case of these words end in и не ы. ?
@AmazingRussian2 ай бұрын
@@DavinaHaynes, in the plural forms сапоги, каблуки, the ending is И because of the 7-letter spelling rule. Please watch the video about the noun plural form:https: //kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHzCgKSAbZqemc0si=eje3ZJ7xiLh5gqx9

@@AmazingRussian Aaaa ok!!! so because of the 7-letter spelling rule the ending is soft, but otherwise the prepositional ending is hard? Because that ending doesn’t concern the 7-letter spelling rule?

I'm sorry but is this a joke? Yes, you may assume that I'm familiar with prepositional case endings... that would be because I took advanced Russian 3. And this is supposed to be lesson 2 of a beginners course? I appreciate you taking the time to make these, but this is NOT beginner material. We didn't do prepositional cases until Advanced Russian 3. I just don't understand. I was looking for a course for my daughter... but this is crazy. I may as well throw her a dictionary and a copy of War and Peace in Russian and tell her good luck. But again, I appreciate the effort put into the courses. They are great for advanced Russian.
@AmazingRussian7 жыл бұрын
Edward Bowers , these videos are for students who take Russian courses at a university using the textbook GOLOSA (Please read the description of the channel and playlists.). This IS the beginning level. I am sorry if this the videos seem to be too advanced for you, but this is COLLEGE Russian, where we have a different requirements, standards, and evidently, level definitions for foreign language learning. Again, this is not a KZbin course, but additional materials for college students who learn Russian in depth. Sorry for the disappointment.
@EdwardBowers7 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I do see now this is supplemental to University courses. This channel was recommended to me as a good place to start (for my daughter) and I took an Intermediate course and it was fine except I noticed that every sentence was cased correctly and used prefixes and tenses that normally AP HS Russia 2 (Intermediate) would never know. :) It's excellent material though. I'm going to go through the entire course myself before going to Russia. так сожалению, и спасибо за Ваш отлично курс! )))
