This is super helpful - I’ve made a few using kits but still working on fit, so they aren’t wearable. I’m sad I used up my kit findings, and now can’t wear the bra. So it’s a nice list to build a stash so I can make muslins.

My first bra wasn't wearable either. I used my kit and had to make another size with alterations. So I used muslin fabric to make a toile with the alterations. Then, I had to take apart the first bra I made to reuse some of the elastics. I had enough fabric to make a new one, but not enough elastic. It def took more time making the second bra b/c I had to take the old one apart. From now on, I'll try to make a toile first until I get the size right.

I never thought about the hook and eye being made differently, I just thought somehow how I fixated them caused the irritation. Until I accidentally stumbled upon a second lingerie supply store in Stockholm. I really like their hook and eyes because they are wider (the 2-hook version, they sell them in 2 different widths) and they are soft =) One more thing though: would it be possible to show how you exactly sew the hook part (the narrow) part? I recently purchased a narrow zip foot and it got better, but it still doesn't look really that neat in my case.
