Basic title edits with Quick Edit in PD 2024 / 365

Thank you for posting this. I just started using Power Director 360 for the first time yesterday and I was banging my head against a wall trying to figure out how to insert text into my video. I have Power Director on my laptop but that version works quite a bit different than 360. I was able to figure out how to insert text on that version pretty easy but with it being called Title in 360 I thought that would mean that's only a button for putting a title at the top of the video screen. I have no idea why they call it Text in the version on my laptop and Titles on the one in the Microsoft store. Regardless you saved me a ton of headache with this instructional video. Thanks again for posting it.

Thanks for this video. It's explained and demonstrated titles better than the 3 videos I watched before it. However at the end you showed a slide with titles in different styles and fonts all on the same screen. I'm trying to do a simplified version of that but cannot figure out how. Hopefully you can give me a breakthrough hint or pointer here or I'll find another video that sheds some light.

Okay, I got some more text in the same title and was able to change it to a different font. However, I'm trying to apply a special effect from the Styles tab to just one word of the title and it keeps applying it to all the words in the title. Any hints?

That is a great question. The special effects tool works with an entire title, and not just a word. To work around that, you can put multiple titles on the screen in the same font and make one of them a single word. You can turn on the grid lines to align them so that it looks like one title on the screen. --Jim

I too am one that has been frustrated with PD365 after using PD 17 for a few years. I developed my own way of creating Titles with 17 and now can't seem to find the techniques and features with 365. More learning curve to climb, with the Turtle's Tutorials!

They moved many of the controls around. As I release new tutorials on the updated interface, I hope some of the changes will be clear and will help in your adjustment. Something all of us will have to adjust to. --Jim

There are a lot of things that they should have done before changing the interface. I do not mind the new look but I am finding my workflow is not what I would like and this is one of them, hey ho. I would also like to see development of new tools such as the ability to save Equaliser settings. My videos are of me riding my motorbike and I use the same settings for all my audio as I spent a lot of time finding the best settings to enhance the voice, a preset would a great enhancement for me. In saying all that, I still do like Power Director, just need to adapt.

I hate this latest upgrade to PD365. I sure hope they put back in some of the old stuff. I keep looking for some of the movement screens like the zoom and pan applicatons and I just cannot find them. If they are there can't find them or least not yet. Thanks for your help. I enjoy all of your videos.

Mine updated a few days after the release but I don't really see any changes from the release version.

The changes were hotfixes. They are the first kind of modifications you will see. They address code that causes PD to crash on some systems. I am hopeful we will see some visible changes in the next quarter when they address user complaints about UI issues. --Jim

I was told that this software does not work with Sony A7SIII XAVC S 4K 10-Bit 4:2:2 video files?

You might wish trying the demo program with this file type and seeing if that works. --Jim
