How should we decouple signal ground and RF ground if chip itself has only one ground?
@GrayOlson3 жыл бұрын
According to Rick Hartley, just have one shared ground plane and ensure the signal and rf traces are spaced apart on the board by at least 20 times the dielectric thickness between signal and ground layer.

Great question and GrayOlson did repeat what Rick 'El-famous' said :D (I'm a Rick fan). I also have a pcb microprocessor combo (Esp32-c3-mini-u1). I need to look into Net-Ties and what they are. Also Mr Wilson recommended using C0G capacitors. I'll be rewatching this again, like I did with Rick's videos. Maybe find more. The important thing that Rick was saying is that you Don't split ground planes, as this will cause the plane to become an antenna (as seen by the trace of the split example) - this is where they mentioned Net-Ties as a possible solution. I'm sure after 3 years you may have found a better solution. Take care

Manufacturers commonly flat net ties as shorts. No big deal but you can lose a day on answering questions.

People talking about their team as their „minions“ immediately make me doubt their competence…
