I instantly went from dead to great. My bard had a habit of setting off traps and i set off a petrifying room ( every round all players had to make wisdom saving throws or become petrified ) full of giant rats that switched between statues and rats, that almost killed the entire party. Everyone hated my bard but my DM was having a laugh at my gut constantly going down and getting his arm chopped off from our half orc barbarian. I said that guy is dead and he is missing an arm so my DM said either A: I keep the bard and permanently get a negative modifier to my char and str, or B: make a new character. After a few nights of looking at characters and studying, i made a drow light cleric. Well, in Dark Souls, Clerics have a surprising number of melee options. Maces, hammers, not to mention the iconic Astora's Straight Sword. If you wanted to play a Paladin in Dark Souls, you would pick the Cleric class and look for a high quality sword and armor. Likewise, in D&D, Solaire would be a Cleric with decent swordfighting prowess, but he'd excel in holy magic. He can use the Sunlight Spear, which is a miracle exclusive to New Game Plus and was canonically used by the Lord of Sunlight to kill immortal dragons. You can only get that kind of power as a Cleric.

I most get Contingency if I don't get Disintigrate since, given it's description, would let you set up Revivify to activate upon your potential death or activate Power Word Heal on yourself should you fall unconscious, essentially getting a full heal. So "kill the healer first" won't work. They'll just mulch one health bar after taking a bunch of damage so you stop undoing his damage, try to celebrate how you're dead and they'll pulverize the rest of the party. Just for the Golden Wind theme to begin playing as you rise and use Time Stop to end them by buffing yourself and getting ready a couple good Spells off that'd normally take too long or to just be ready for them. @@ivansterliagov6561 I think that the gwin has considerable (But fluctuating) influence of any light source. His main being lightning but his children got things like healing light and moon shine powers. If it was mainly from the first fire. (more so the Lord souls) (which caused everything to have disparity) the witch and co got the fire/heat part of it and neato and pygmy got the counter-parts of death, darkness and stuff (still maintaining the disparity theme). Although I think that is how they began it suggests throughout the ages everyone kind of mixed around so the subvarients we see in later games arrive.

Иван Стерлягов « sun in darksouls appears to be literally made of lightning » It’s more like Gwyn’s Lightning’s are extremely pure forms of light. They aren’t your regular electricity. And in the fight against gael, the lightning in the area is blue, and much thinner, which makes me think it’s supposed to be normal lightning... although it’s of course possible they just didn’t care wether or not it made sense and just thought « meh, they’ll find an explanation or die trying ».

A lot of Beholders are atheists. Y'know how each Beholder assumes that it is the ultimate life-form? The pinnacle of existence? Well, because of that, many refuse to believe in deities, because that implies that they are in fact NOT the pinnacle. When they do believe in deities, they're constantly scrambling to find ways to one-up them in some way.

@BJGvideos4 жыл бұрын
@@alexdiaz155 Well that's all the more reason to oppose them, now isn't it?
@storyspren4 жыл бұрын
@@BJGvideos I have two concepts for characters with basically this idea. This comment ended up being super long so be warned before you head in. . . . Both reason like this: Every other planar being seems to be full of immortals and when they die, they just go back to be reconstituted. Us material plane-ers though? We get kidnapped when we die, either by a god who found us sufficiently like them to take into their realm, or by another force if no god will accept us. And it is a kidnapping, according to these characters, since the afterlife MUST somehow stop you from leaving, or else literally any 15th level Wizard could come back at their leisure, VERY easily, to make daily trips even (store a material-plane tuned tuning fork (or multiple) in your demiplane and keep Demiplane and Plane Shift prepared at all times so you don't need your spellbook). Sending also works from plane to plane (albeit with a failure chance, but it's a small one), yet no one's ever sent one to the dead and received an answer, or better yet, received a message from someone in the afterlife. So, since it would be so easy, but there are no cases of any high-level wizard just teleporting back to life, there must be something stopping them. Either 1) they're stripped of their magic, or their power is limited, thus trapping them in an afterlife they might not want, or 2) they're changed, and they do not want to return, even to visit. Depending on how changed they are, this is either brainwashing, or literally just making a new person who is not you. Both are very much not okay. The Sending thing kind of implies the latter. Oh and also the only bring-you-back-to-life spells that truly bring you back to life are reserved to be only used by those with enough commitment to these extraplanar entities. Where the concepts differ is in their applications of this belief. The first one is a necromancer wizard. His goals are to 1) achieve immortality by any means necessary (including killing people who try to stop him, see airplane oxygen mask protocol), and 2) stop the endless kidnapping of dead people from the material plane. Might sound all evil and "I'mma become god of this realm worship me and your afterlife will be here instead" and all, but nope. He believes that if you want an afterlife elsewhere, you're making a mistake, and will try to persuade you, but won't stop you. He's also a big advocate for undead rights, so long as they don't engage in the soul trade. And he's actually a vegan and won't raise the corpse of anything without its owner's fully informed consent, because he believes that both the consumption of something from your body and the binding of your body to servitude are just physical versions of the soul capturing, and only marginally less bad. The owner might come back and need it, after all. He doesn't wish to rule, he wants to give everyone the option to not be kidnapped, as he sees it, and is willing to use necromancy to do it. As for gods, devils, demons, elementals, fey, and whatever else messing with mortal affairs? Unacceptable. He makes concessions for stuff that actually helps people, like gods or their worshipers healing people or bringing them back to life or in other ways preventing/reversing deaths. Both are good things in his view since they save you (if momentarily) from the soul trade. But both also act as propaganda pieces for those gods. He'll try to stop the propaganda afterwards. The second concept is a Circle of the Land Druid. He came to the conclusion that the others have what they have because they're of the plane's essence. Our matter might be of the material plane, but our souls aren't sufficiently intertwined with it. His hypothesis is that with enough devotion to the world itself, you could achieve the same. He's much less militant, and believes that just by minding our own business and focusing inward, we could become *of this plane* enough to stay forever, and to even come back to be reconstituted if we die elsewhere. Having druid powers certainly has increased his conviction, since magic powers are what most extraplanars also seem to have. A promising sign, he thinks. He won't try to stop you from worshiping if you do, though. He thinks that whatever the gods have in store for you is probably better than what devils and demons have to offer, so he sees himself as willing to take the risk for others in case he's wrong. However, if you don't worship or if you follow something from the lower planes, he will try to convert you to his cause with the reasoning of: if I'm wrong, your fate doesn't change from your current one, if I'm right you'll be on the path to achieving eternal planar independence. He will also try to stop extraplanar beings from messing with the lives of mortals when he witnesses it, and will also be more lenient to messery that actually helps people. He's less likely than the necromancer to try and convince resurrectees that resurrections are propaganda fodder for gods, though. So if both were living in a land colonized by someone (say, the British), and wanted independence, the necromancer would want to stage a revolution and take it, whereas the druid would want to build a community and ignore the colonizers until their 'rule' becomes meaningless, of course also fighting where necessary to defend people because the extraplanar entities (Brits) won't just let people undermine their rule.
