The trevs you got were just baby’s. Big ones off there are 6 or 7 kgs. You use a proper storyline rod and straight 30 pound line and just completely lock up on them when you hook up or they will bust you off in the piles

saw a few larger ones below the small ones the size of legal kings but they weren't interested. even the small ones weren't making it easy

Was the fishing still active during the time you were fishing at the houhora wharf because me and my my dad has been planning to fish there again and we've been there twice with both being successful fishing, and I'm wondering if there will still be fish activity on the 10th January?
