Thank you Yong, I have learnt more from watching two of your video's than I have in the past 50 other video's that I have watched from other people on youtube. I loved your colour mixing video, by using this video I can save a fortune on buying paints, just buy the three primary colours... Really appreciate it, thanks

Thank you for making this video. This was helpful! How do you mix color for skin tones?
@YongChen8 жыл бұрын
+Jessica Quach With this mixing color system with the limited color palette, it makes the painting process simple. Most skin-tones are mixed from all three primary colors, but Red is lot more than Blue and Yellow. Thanks for your feedback.

Reading the comments below interesting with some very self appiniated comments. My choice is to use two red warm and cold, Two blues warm and cold finally 2 yellows warm and cold. Depending on the warmth of my colour mixing result I chose accordingly. My 3 (6) primary colours are :- Primary Yellow, Permanent Yellow Deep, Spectrum Red, Primary Red, Primary Blue and Ultramarine. Works for me. Stole this from a Winsor Newton video.

Yes, correct. They are Winsor & Newton brand, so if you need detail information of these three primary paints, you can read more about them on the website from the links on this enjoyingart.com/materials/

hello sir yur videos are awesome...the colours on your pallete is all mixed up however you find the right colour to apply on your painting.how do you do that....im just starting with water colour and iam always scared of contaminating pure colour with other colours or the chosen colours with other nearby colours. my pallate gets confusing i use watercolour cake...can you pkeas me teach me how to preapre pallate and dos and donts...on the pallate while painting please.
@YongChen8 жыл бұрын
Focus on what you want, then you will look for the color on your palette, and less confused. Follow my videos as I described why and what I need at each step. Thanks for your comment.

Roland, the video was taken in a bit low-light. This video is more about sharing a theory, it is the foundation of a painting system. I encourage everyone to share their experience. Thank you for your comments.
