Patient monitors in an ICU measures and records several parameters simultaneously. It includes: ECG, Oxygen Saturation, Pulse Rate, Respiratory Rate, CVP (central venous pressure), IBP (invasive [arterial] blood pressure), NIBP (non-invasive [arterial] blood pressure), CO (cardiac output), body temperature, EEG or BIS (bispectral index), end-tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO2), and arterial oxygen tension (PaO2).

.... so, the way the Unit is equipped, should it be staffed, which may in a way deprive other patients in the facility of the specialized care as doctors are never enough anywhere always.

You forgot that an IV catheter (or a central venous catheter/central line) is used also to measure the CVP (central venous pressure).
