I learned about Sikhi this week, and now here i am. I shed tears during parts of this and several other of your videos. It woke something up inside me that i legitimately thought was dead. I considered converting, but I'm not willing to give up weed (yet). I recently started praying again, because i got over my pride. I hadn't done it in a decade. Many of the Sikhi tenants you describe, rang true to my own. Protection, honour, equality, peace, compassion, honesty, these are all things that are very important to me. Your message is just and your cause is righteous. I've never used words of such gravity in a more sincere manner than I am now, nor have I felt compelled to do so until now. Godspeed.

+TrueTreeRadio Thanks ji, its great to hear that Sikhi resonates with you. Its all Gurus message and we are just the lowly messengers. Prayer is very important. I used to do weed myself before and it is very alluring. However when we meditate and realise that we can experience that Bliss and much more inside for free then we wont want to pollute our lungs and mind, rather go for the true bliss. Keep watching and learning and like our fb page to stay up to date on our activity. I always ask people this, if you believe in a cause and message, why not follow it and further it rather than let your mind hold you back. Vaheguru

Basics of Sikhi I stopped smoking cigarettes and my body felt much better. I was getting very sick, after i stopped i got bronchitis for 6 months and almost died. I only vape weed now so there's no smoke. I know it puts me in a stupor and it's a waste of time. I did it at first to have fun with friends and to have fun woth life, but it feels like it's not so fun anymore. I once meditated, before I ever smoked weed, and i went somewhere, it was like i entered into a dream. It was very strange, and felt real. I saw a large tree, so tall that it went past the clouds into the sky. An owl lead me to the tree, and a wolf protected me as i walked. It was very strange. I want to go back there. It took 2 hours of silent eyes closed meditation before this happened.

Sikh means Learner, I considered myself a Sikh my entire life and only recently gave up weed, I was a huge stoner, but if you meant converting as in becoming a Khalsa then I understand, however you can still learn Sikhi as you drop your bad habits, Ik and from personally they sometimes take time, but Sikhi was one of the main reasons why I stopped

I'm a HIndu. But I believe every Hindu should learn about Sikhi. There are 2 instances in my life where I truly felt the touch of God. First, while volunteering with an NGO to provide free education to underprivileged children , and second when I visited Sri Harmandar Sahib ji in Amritsar and sat in the langar to have food at the same place with thousands of people. It gave me a sense of oneness that is unexplainable in words.

In my opinion weed can be a gateway to spiritual practices. But after some-time , you realise marijuana is clouding your inner mirror day by day. If you are spiritual and you smoke weed , there will come a time in your life when you'll feel that the spirituality itself is more addictive than the weed , and then you quit. Just talking about my own experiences here. It may vary from person to person. But the call will always come from within.

+Khaliz Rapper This channel is trying to spread Sikhi in India, to Punjabis and Non-Punjabis. We even have videos in hindi, Tamil and Bengali and more to come. Welcome to Sikhi brother and you're right, Caste is not part of Sikhi.
@sikhkhalsa29228 жыл бұрын
True bro, you are truly blessed and yes there is no caste/class within Sikhi / Khalsa panth, The Gurus explicitly rejected caste/varna system, as we are ultimately human-beings, when one becomes Sikh/Khalsa they get rid of these labels. "Recognize the Lord's Light (Spirit) within all, and do not consider social class or status; there are no classes or castes (varnas) in the world hereafter" (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 349). A Black / Brown / White coloured skin person can become a Sikh, a Jatt can become a Sikh, a Khatri can become a Sikh, a Brahmin can become a Sikh, a Chamar can become a Sikh, a Tharkan can become a Sikh, a low-class / middle-class / upper-class member of society can become a Sikh and if pleasing to The Creator can achieve enlightenment / mukti - liberation. Basically, it does not matter what a person cultural background is, once a person is a Sikh they get rid of the caste/class system and become Khalsa/pure.
@anandpandey71647 жыл бұрын
Brother, caste is not part of hinduism as well. It is varna and not caste in english sense. Even varna is not based on birth. Krishna in gita says there are 4 Varna depending on nature and action of individual. But sadly hindus don't follow it as bhagavad Gita preaches. Same for mazhabi sikhs who are so called low caste sikhs , sikhism does not have it but so called original panjabi sikhs call converted low caste sikhs as mazhabi sikhs.

+Shashank Srivastava Indeed brother, it is in equal, injustice of humanity. The Varna system (four Varnas) is part of the Hinduism. Sikhi is the only religion from the Indian subcontinent to explicitly say no, or renounce the Varna/Caste/Class system. The four doors of the Golden Temple was to show that anyone from any religion/caste/varna/gender/colour/race is welcome. 'Recognize the Lord's Light (Spirit) within all, and do not consider social class or status; there are no classes or castes in the world hereafter' (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 349).

If Shiva mastered all the ways to God then how come he lost his control and ran after Mohini in lust? (Vishnu in disguise)
@nalbyuites8 жыл бұрын
Just as you are doing the admirable job of raising awareness about Sikhi, I believe I should clarify some of the misconceptions about Sanatan Dharma, in light of your above statement. We believe that there is only pure consciousness which is termed as Brahman (not to be confused with one of the four Varnas), which has manifested itself as this world (also termed as Maya or Prakriti). Conscious beings such as humans think themselves to be separate from Brahman by identifying themselves with Naam-Rupa. Very few of them, either through Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga or Jnana Yoga experience themselves to be One and merge with Brahman. This is termed moksha/nirvana etc. The ones who do not, keep accumulating good/bad karma and are subject to the life and death cycles. The Yogis who try to realize their true nature (Self-Realized) who leave the mundane world are called Swami/Swamini, the ones who remain married are called Rishi/Rishika. The truths these Gurus realized in their meditations are compiled in the four Vedas. Upanishads, Brahmanas, Aranyakas and Samhitas are commentaries, expositions and rituals that lead one to the Vedic truth. These utterances comprise Shrutis, passed down orally over centuries and are considered Eternal Truths and the knowledge in them are verifiable by following any of the four Yogic paths. All other spiritual work are written down as texts, which are referred to as Smritis, which are supposed to change as per Desh (country), Kala (time period). In short, new Shrutis keep getting created, which are relevant to a people in a particular time and place. These include Puranas and have stories with Devi/Devatas (Godesses and Gods), Asuras, Yakshas, Gandharvas and other divine beings. One such Purana is Vishnu Purana from which you have quoted the story of Mohini. Ours is a dialectical culture and people here realized that the way of passing down knowledge to people who are not on the path of a Jnana Yogi, is through music, dance, through stories and art/sculpture. The stories in the Puranas are also an access point to the Divine. They are not to be taken literally and judged moralistically but their essence is to be understood at the feet of a Guru. Otherwise, they remain just stories. In the world of Maya, the whole spectrum of good and bad gunas and qualities exist. Brahman (the Ultimate Consciousness) is manifesting as every kind of possibility. Yet, Brahman, the Unmanifest is free from these qualities. The Manifest Reality (Jagat) thus has Gods, including Shiva, who are also subject to qualities and emotions, like us. Hence, it is completely okay to us that a Pauranic text uses Devi/Devatas as characters in a story to illustrate a bit of knowledge. I am happy that you are aware of your teachings and are following it. Showing how Sikhi (or any other Faith) is different is important, otherwise people get think all paths are the same and end up confused, following no path. I would like to thank you for your enlightening videos, which helps me, a Sanatan Dharmi to be on my Maarag towards One-ness with Brahman. Jo Bole So Nihal, Sat-Shri-Akal! WaheGuruji Ka Khalsa, WaheGuruji Ki Fateh!
