I don't look like the kind of person who would greet a Sikh with their greeting. Seriously thinking of converting.

How did God make the sound if there was no space or time in which to make it?
@vjagpal7 жыл бұрын
Good point, but keep in mind sound itself is not a thing. In reality sound is a pressure wave of molecules. Some sort of pressure wave must have been created at big bang and Om may have been seen as sound representation of such wave. Not the same thing but we have seen gravitational waves converted into sound in recent experiments.
@johnhuckley18437 жыл бұрын
There weren't any molecules at the beginning of the universe. It's commonly believed that space was filled with high density energy, and then after the initial inflation period, there were elementary particles and a quark-gluon plasma. Some scientists have theorized how sound waves could have been present in the early universe, but they describe them as endless bells ringing and not as a singular low frequency sound like an "Om".
@vjagpal7 жыл бұрын
John Huckley Completely agree with you. There were no molecules at the start. But that is why I gave example of gravitational waves that do not need a specific type of mater to move, just space /time. I also know it is not the same. Also calling initial sound was OM is more of an interpretation (just as sound is brains interpretation of molecular pressure wave). So I accept the different interpretation of a scientific vs spiritual way. But thing is fore sure, that interpretation of om is actually considered to be continuous phenomenon, not just one time in the start. In spiritual words it is called a form of unstuck sound (non-material). I know there is some stretch of imagination needed here but that is why it called faith not science.

I see, very interesting idea. Thanks for the reply V J.

Basics of Sikhi no need to debate, but stop trying to explain away Jesus' words. For example when Jesus said, "no one comes to the Father except through Him", stop trying to explain that away. I have heard you try to give other possible meanings to this. Jesus said: If you are not against Him, you are for Him, Matt 12:30

If Jesus is the Gate Keeper....John 10...there is no way around it.....I love what you are doing....just be careful with that...could be very costly mistake. Tom Venditti A true soul would see God in all (Jesus, Allah, Ram, Waheguru...so many names yet ONE) . Let's not debate because it creates doubt which pushes us away from God (TRUTH). Heaven and Hell is created by our deeds.
@tomvenditti3569 жыл бұрын
Harinder Singh that is a first grade reflection....there is no such thing as a true soul. All humans have soul's from the moment of conception...you can say "an enlightened soul" would see.... but at the end of the road is Jesus and Mary.....they are the gatekeepers, so if these other beings lead you to Jesus and Mary, no worries.
