My grandmother taught me the non-drunk half as a kid and we'd sing it on the way to school. I had no idea what the song was about until I looked it up a few months ago, ha!

My father when I was tiny may 2 to 4 years of age would sing this song to me and have me on his lap and jig with me appaerntly I loved it as I had so much fun jigging with him. Just one if those tunes that suddenly crops up in one's occasionally over the years.
