Have been an owner of two SFT's until 18 months ago. Full of admiration to see Basil. Wish I could have got ours as well behaved. But you gotta love them anyway, as they're great and rewarding dogs.

Fox Terriers are my all time favourite. Wilful and spirited, but lion hearted, and with correct treatment are eminently trainable. Simply adorable companions.

I could walk a mile with my fox terrier on a leash and he never pulled he walked perfectly next to me. A perfect dog.

A gorgeous Fox Terrier. You've done a thorough job on him no doubt. Fox Terriers renowned for having a mind of their own. 90% instantly obedient but a little 10% off the grid sometimes!!

The Smooth Fox Terrier surely deserves to be more popular and numerous. They possess a very impressively, well balanced small/ medium sized compact physique and they have plenty of intelligence, energy, character and personality. 'Basil' is a name that suits the Smoothie as I believe that it means 'King' ; back in the 1970's my grandmother had a Smooth Fox Terrier called 'Rex' which also translates as 'King' as far as I know !

I'm on SFT #3. They are wonderful animals. Perhaps it's their lack of popularity that keeps the stock such beautiful creatures.

They are amazing! I gave a 13,5year old named Chester! He is fantastic. I love the his breed but don’t think it’s suitable for everyone. We play and go for walks a lot compared to other friends who have other breeds.

@@aurar8820 I have a 2021 calendar on my wall which features Smooths one month then Wires the following month. I was trying to find a wall calendar that was Smooths only but wasn't able to find such a calendar ! Chester sounds like a great dog !
