Yes, she was ... I was lucky enough to see in the sixties at her peak ...again in the eighties, and lastly 1990 ... even getting older, no one else was like her ... one thing that few ever mention was how small she was ...tiny, like a China doll with huge eyes, and yes, they really were dark blue, not violet !😊

I saw her in person in 1961 (yes, I am that old) and pics did not do her justice. Her coloring was incredible and the combination of perfect features and violet blue eyes were breathtaking. She was not very tall but still in the prime of her beauty. Truly magical.
