Illuminating as always MARK , the track was superb with so many sound sculptures possible via Lapsis, Carbon tweaking, wondered if you have shelved Constellation though as missing again, viewed Nerdseq and it is amazing but only in a Studio situation as Live would be hard to see grid under dark gig conditions???? also to complex for my poor eyesight, menu programming Have you seen new Befaco PONY VCO in compact hp one for Pallette case, Carbon link Cheers 👍🆒🎶🌟🌟🌟🌈🕸⚡️👁

Thanks Marin! Still using the constellation but it works best in a bigger set up. It’s great for drums but too big in my case when demoing patches and all i need is a simple drum patch, so the DOT is great for that.

Mark, I appreciate your work very much! What also helps is developing the patch just in time. Start from scratch and communicate you thought process. Lightbath did this in his "joy of patching" videos. Was very instructive i to see how he worked his way up in his patch.

Hi Ralf, yes building a patch from the beginning is a great was to explain things. For this recent series on BIA I tried to keep them shorter and start with the music first, but also have some patch from scratch walkthroughs too if you look back through some I did earlier this year. I think I should categorise them all a little better though.

Mark, I think you might be a wizard. You manage incredible sounds and patterns with this setup. Super inspiring and motivating!

Thanks! Mimetic Digitalis works wonders and just keep randomising it’s output until something good comes out. The only processing in Ableton in this patch was BIA sidechained to the kick and the two BIA channels coming out of Mimeophon partially panned left and right. Also, that hihats had a tiny auto pan just to add a sling stereo feel.

I’ve just repatched my bia, fed it through into ableton with usb insert Fx….. got the most incredible sub base from a couple of filters and stock reverb

It's so versatile isn't it? West Coast oscillators are harder to understand but so much more rewarding to master.

Nerdseq? Yes please 🙏

To be honest I love it but it only gets used for preplanned work which I rarely do. It’s great for chip tune tho!

Thanks. Need to master this Nerdseq as I know you have one in your set up too.

@@markbooth spent afternoon creating dirty Berlin house bass lines using cirklon, polygogo , Erika synth techno set up and elements. It was extremely dirty right up until the classic let me try repatching this through … o shit what did I do there - what a mess - how do I get this back to what I had - bollocks now I’ve completely lost the thread !

@@stephenjenkins1323 happens to the best of us and so easy to lose a patch when you end up taking things too far. Helps to have a known fallback position you can always return to if possible.

1:35 the kick is totally unnecessary and is dumbing down the track 😢

Thanks for the feedback and I’ll bear it in mind for future content. I do over use a kick sometimes.

I thought the kick works. That sounded like one hell of a techno tune could groove to that all night 😄🖤
