Basket weave stamping leather: Basic leather tooling

The other day I was working on a piece for a knife sheath and decided to make a video about how to stamp a basket weave pattern. The two tools I am using are an X534 and a D436. Basket weave is a simple tooling pattern that most beginners can pick up with just a bit of practice. I share a few tips on how to make your stamping look better.

Watched one of your videos a couple of weeks ago and suscribed. Watched this video today! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Improved my basket weave tooling immediately. Making the two lines to begin with the basket weave tool was the best tip I've heard. Also, you can set a ruler at any time along bottom of any row and correct any drift. Beautifully done man. I've done basket weave a couple of times, but didn't come out as good as yours. I picked up a couple tricks here that will help me. Thank you. What is that peice for? It looks like a mustache to me lol
