Have a wisteria next door... and it goes every where. I normally make Xmas wreaths out of them, but thanks next time I'll go for baskets.

I make wreaths too! We have really been working to get rid of ours this summer but it is relentless. It looks like I’ll have more baskets in my future too;-)

Nice video! If only you could light that area so I could see better. But I've got the main idea - and I've got a huge wisteria that I constantly cut back ... now for the baskets! Thanks

I know that video was dark-I’m sorry. This fall I will work on another video with better lighting. I have lots of baskets to make with all the wisteria taking over our woods, it’s everywhere! If you wait until fall/winter the vines are much easier to process and pull the leaves off

How do you prepare the wisteria? Mine keeps breaking.

I pulled them out of the woods and used them somewhat soon after I pulled them. The longer you wait to use the wisteria for picking after pulling it out of the ground, the more brittle the vines get. I have seen videos where they soak the wisteria in water and pull off the bark before weaving. I just use as is and weave with fresh vines

I’m sorry, I agree that this video was too dark…maybe I’ll remake some more baskets and throw up a video that is better! Thanks for the tip!
