BBALLBREAKDOWN I don't want podcasts. I want breakdowns of games. Those are the most interesting.

BBALLBREAKDOWN but doesnt the Split give the defender a hint that you are going to drive?
@bballbreakdown7 жыл бұрын
+Lukas L you can hop to shoot, or split to drive and lifting both feet in the air it's the same move until that split second when u either shoot or drive. Plus you're generally doing this against a defender that's closing out

@werock20027 жыл бұрын
The result doesn't matter yet your they're just trying to teach the foot work that goes into it. Later on you can add you hop, sway, dip etc

This is great.. as always thank you coach. Once you've established the split, I can see you can mixed it up with variety of moves..
@bballbreakdown7 жыл бұрын
+skalawitz thanks and yes! Durant does a nice one where he splits and crosses over
@skalawitz7 жыл бұрын
BBALLBREAKDOWN yes coach.. I tried this with the kids (16 and below) I'm coaching. And I found out that there are several ways to make use of the split.. I'm old school basketball and I still teach kids to post up even with guards, and the split action is useful cos once you got the ball your pivot foot is not yet established.. thus you can make several moves down low and confuse the defender.. this is really helpful.. #Salute

there are separate reasons to use the heel. if you're gonna borrow from gongfu mechanics, learn the differences, is my advice. I think they were missing because of the net throwing them off, and pressure of being on camera. next time use young local high school players or college.
