Difference between EU and US fans is that in US fans go on the game to have enetrainment, grab some food drink be cool etc just similar thing like u spend time on sofa with netflix. In EU fans dont want to be cool they are not interesting with food snacks etc cuz thing like this u can do at home. During game if u identify with city club u suport them. But tell me how u can suport someone by sitting and eating? If u r player tell what motivates you more to see ppl sometimes clap hands sometimes drink sometimes talking or u even not have to watch at them cuz everybody sing songs encouraging to fight? In addition, you know countries in Europe at the time when America was founded as a country, they had many centuries of existence, many wars, etc. People in Europe learn their history and know that only by fighting you can win in this world. Besides, in Europe people strongly identify with their club, people, which is why the commitment is so strong.

​@@abimaellopezmaylord27lopez7 since on stadium fights are rare like situations where plane crash into a house these pathological fans meet in a remote area to fight there - I don't judge it, but since they have a need (which in fact doesn't have much to do with cheering the team on) it's better that they do it somewhere away from normal people. What's more, there are people who know what they are there for and others will not suffer from it. On the subject of what you wrote - if the murder happened in a stadium, it means that the security was reprehensible (in Europe they are simply separated by empty sectors with police and security in between). If it happened outside the stadium, what can I say? Pathology among the fans has been and will be, but it doesn't have much to do with the way the team cheers. It's like saying that cars are bad because there are people who use them for robberies, escaping the police, or even rushing into crowds of people to kill them.

I have some ideas to explain that First : what the owners want ? In NBA, they want a family show, with guest stars. Do you even have the right to bring stuff as crazy as some fans in Europe have ? The identity of the fans is surely not the same : in Europe, the tickets price are small, the working class could go easily In some case in Europe, the fans OWN the team. In Europe, a stadium was since at least a century a political place. Example : Barcelona, where people could sing song against Franco, the dictator. Crvena Zvezda, the "working class club" against the "club of the gouvernment" Partizan. In Europe, many clubs are more that a sport team in a certain city, but a way to express your political identity. My final idea : derby. Example again with Partizan vs Crvena Zvezda : if you have two clubs in the same city, and if you compete always against each other (because it's not like in NBA, the hierarchy is pretty clear in Europe) it must result to conflicts between fans.

U are asking a dumb question tbh... Like if u want a whole history class, go and study about it... And what u want face to face interview with every fan? That's impossiblr man... Like be real for a second. How can i explain to u why are fans like that by asking every fan... There are ultras(hooligans), regular european fans and ones who are the same like those in USA, who just go yaaay at lil john songs or whatever they play there.... that's all... Hooligans organize singing the songs by making their hooligan groups chanting them so others in Arena follow up and sing as well... The regular European fans if u wanna call them that, are very passionate, more than the USA fans, as they sing the songs the ultras(hooligans) chant out loud... And the third group are ones who usually come as whole family with children... Ultras sometimes bring into the Arena the pyrotechnics such as flair and flags of their club or flags of their ultras group.... Most of them in ultras are criminals... Lot of these groups get their leader killed or something when it comes to change in power of leadership... It's dangerous and shouldn't be idolized... Eastern European countries are the ones with those groups, in basketball they exist in Greece, Serbia, and many other more... Usually politicians promise to arrest them in any of Eastern European countries because of some being criminals but they dont because these people have high political connections which makes them never get arrested or get let go when arrested... So many of sons of politicians hang out with these dudes... That's it man... Idk what else to tell u about these fans... The ultras also have every now and then meetings where they discuss about their clubs next game... They also have had times where they organize fight against rival club and beat down in the city... Cops come and beat them down as well to restrain them and stop them from making a mess to the shops nearby... They smash everything around them... They pretend to be patriotic about some things but as u can see from these examples, they arent actually patriotic, but delusional about it.... If u read this reply to me so i know this was worth it

As an israeli who lives in tel aviv and been to dozens of maccabi games, and other game in the israeli league i can confirm that maccabi has some of the worst fans in israel lol, in league games against average clubs they fill 3000 tops and as u can see only the ultra fans of gate 11 really participate

As a Crvena Zvezda fan, I can say that is always pleasure to watch Žalgiris play in front of their fans. Maybe they are not the loudest and craziest in Europe, but you can not say that they are not passionate and consistent in terms of support. Their home arena is almost always packed to the last seat, so big respect to their love to the ball game.

Zalgiris deserves a place as it one of the few teams with no football section and their supporters + many times Zalgiris arena was voted by the Euroleague players as the arena with the best atmosphere.

Half of the teams in this list is supported by football ultras not basketball fans. For me these fans are a joke. They still smokes in arena, often throws things to players, uses lazers. They are stuck in 90's and most of the time is painfull to watch. Basketball is not about that. So I believe Žalgiris should be on this list since arena is always packed and the culture is quite modern compared to other arenas.

Video is not about giving evaluation which fans are better, so nobody is saying Zalgiris is better or not. IMO, Greeks and serbs are better, but Zalgiris deserves its place there. Basically, because of arena itself, not the actual ultras. The only few teams I could imagine in this list could be PAOK, AEK, Fortitudo. No french, no spain, no german, no russian teams. Besides Zalgiris it would be a list of balkan teams with football supporters
