Hello! Unfortunately, in Turkey, cinema industry is not going on a good direction. Even Netflix created serieses that are mediocre at best. So thank you for showing people around the world that there is still a niche group of people in Turkey with ambition. I've been watching your channel for quite some time and seeing a movie from my homeland made me smile..

I was blown away by the quality of this movie, if i didnt knew it before i started the movie then i would have thought its made by hollywood. Seriously the camera quality, movement and positioning was top notch, some of the sence had insanely good imagery like the giant hand in the water. The atmosphere is something only a few movies achieve, 20 minutes in and i couldnt look away. And the last 30-40 minutes are so constantly intense, we actualy needed a short break after the movie just to process all the stuff that just happend. This might have been my first turkish horror movie but its already under by top 20.
@keskinbey28733 жыл бұрын
@@newdarkneoss3985 Thank you! Unfortunately, entire Turkish cinema is occupied by a major organization. So, movies like this are rarely heard even inside Turkey. Most of the other 'horor' movies are just jumpscares without a real background. I' think there are couple of movies like this made in Turkey, but even I'm not sure... Recently, I watched a short movie called ''Avarya'' and loved it, it was also a pleasant surprise to hear Turkish voice acting and I remember my hands shaking like ''Dude, what?! Is this actually Turkish.?'' You should definitely check it out as well..

So, half-Turk lady here. The film is not named after anyone. The word “baskin” means “raid” or “a raid.” There is a lot of imagery in this film that gets lost if you don’t have an understanding of the Muslim view of “hell” and general (Turkish) folklore and mythology. Also, just in case it come up, the police dudes were just talking shit. I seriously, seriously doubt any of them have ever slept with an animal. He’s just macho talking which is a common trope in Turkish stories. Guys, sorry for all the confusion my comment created. I was just trying to be helpful but I think a number of people misunderstood what I said. So, apologies if I hurt anyone. That was not my intent in any way.

My interpretation was that on the way to the call when the van crashed into the water everyone was dying. When everyone emerged upon the riverbank as "survivors" of the accident they arrived at their place of judgement. Each man received their punishment "death" . Our main character was not like the others and during the "drowning" he was saved from death and went to the place of punishment wavering between the two worlds. He was guided and reminded of things that would lead to his being able to save himself and regain life in the "real world". When he emerges he becomes the catalyst of everyone's return to be punished again. There is no body that caused the accident because he couldn't exist in two places at once. I believe that when the van hit him he was when he died and went to the after life while the others once again are doomed to repeat the events of the evening for the rest of time.

The guns they’re using are based on the M9 beretta, they all had at least 15 rounds in their magazines. They definitely could’ve handled this. But no one writes a horror movie to include common sense otherwise it would make for a very short movie
@redhot29763 жыл бұрын
Since I’m from the South, everyone knows how to use a gun right. The policemen here knew how to use it when they were 10. I don’t know about people anywhere else, though. I’d assume the culture of guns doesn’t exist in many other places.
@longliverocknroll53 жыл бұрын
@@redhot2976 Knowing how to use a gun and being able to accurately fire, let alone fire at all, under extreme stress are two extremely different things. A significant amount of people freeze up under pressure, and even more wouldn’t be able to steady themselves enough to walk straight, let alone stabilize their upper body to accurately fire a shot to down, let alone kill, a person. Like I said, there’s a reason why cops “accidentally” shoot the wrong person many, many, many times all over the USA (and the world).

Loved this, still would LOVE for you to cover the butterfly effect-

This channel is the only way I can "watch" the super gory ones! I like horror, but I also like being able to sleep at night! I enjoy watching foundflix as much as I do watching the actual movie

The part where he says "Hell isn't a place; it's something you carry with you wherever you go" reminded me of The Sandman comic (by Neil Gaiman) because a character says the exact same thing in a similar situation, Hell & earth being blended together & all that (#4 Season of Mists). Just thought it was neat :)

I remember watching this movie a couple of years back and didn't understand a thing, but it's a great movie. Once I was explained the folklore behind it, I appreciated it 100000 times more.

I remember this movie coming on one night at like 3 A.M. I caught the first part of it before going back to sleep and I'm fucking amazed at how far off the deep end this movie woulda went if I stayed up watching it 😂😂
