Basque Cream Cake Recipe

Basque cake recipe with vanilla pastry cream.
Basque cake is a specialty of the Basque Country. There are two variants of this dessert: the Basque cake with black cherry or pastry cream. Today, I propose to you with vanilla pastry cream
This cake is quite simple, it consists of a crispy and fondant shortcrust pastry and garnished with a vanilla pastry cream. The whole thing is darkened in a circle or springform pan.
ingredients for a 20 cm to 25 cm cake:
for the dough:
230g flour
175g soft butter
90 g ground almonds
120g of sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
1 liquid yeast or 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
4 o baking powder
1 pinch of salt
for the cream:
500ml milk
4 egg yolks
80g sugar
40 g of maizena (cornstarch)
