It's been my experience that every fishery has its own personality, and like any relationship, it takes a long time to put the pieces together to make things work smoothly. Sometimes it can take years.

My favorite ways, is spinner bait, jig, 10” worm and a buzz bait. I’ve been trying different stuff but hands down a jig, t-rig worm, and a good spinner is all you need lol. My PB in 2023 of July was 8lb on a big ol monster. Before that it was a 7 on a black and blue jig. O and a chatter bait, but I’ll choose a spinner over a chatter bait if I had to pick one because of its weedless abilities.

I feel the same way. Jig, T-rig, spinnerbait are my go to baits. I live up north so I’ll throw some red cranks when the crawfish are spawning or tubes for smallmouth too though. I fish from a kayak and am going to add 360 to help fish offshore though so I’ll probably add in the drop shot more.

Seeing (real time or on videorecording) an individual fish or a group of fish doing [certain kind of behavior] does NOT prove the Whole POPULATION acts accordingly (at the Same time or ALL the time) You need to determine the Size of the population to get an idea of the bandwidth that can occur. If you connect TIME to the situation then you simply add another X,Y,Z- axle into the equation. Which equals to more Possibilities (Exponential increase) 😮😊 Dates back to ancient Greek: Sophism or Fallacy Simply ignoring excistance (partly or momentary) is called Singularity 😂😅 Rumours are spread its about: someone or something ELSE to Blame 😊😊 OR Make it an Explanation/ Clarification 😊😊

Still waiting on the information on how this will make me fish differently though my man? I’m not trying to throw hate. I’m just saying I didn’t hear literally any information on how this is going to make me fish differently?
@TylerBergerFishing

The part that could make you fish differently is fishing your strengths instead of what you are "supposed" to be doing
@VinnyM.92
@VinnyM.92 8 ай бұрын
@@TylerBergerFishing I guess that makes sense? I guess it would depend on the situation. If I was in a tourney and I knew it was post spawn, and the big females pulled off shallow, but my strength is fishing shallow, wouldn’t it be a good idea to adapt to the situation and try and figure out the bite? I guess that’s where it just comes in handy to fish different styles to make a more rounded fishermen. Practice and time on the water so that you can learn new strengths incase different situations pop up.

You are so right. My wife will only fish a dropshot. No matter where or when it's all she will throw. 75% of the time she will outfish me when I'm using what I'm supposed to be using. I appreciate what you do.

Maybe you drawn fish from a distance (following a retrieved lure) to the location where you both have positioned doing your fishing. The more appealing DS closes the Deal sooner or later

Tyler, I have a question for you. You’re not too far from me. I know you fish Erie. What is the latest you’ve seen bass guarding fry up here? I came across a male guarding fry in September on the west side of Lake Ontario and it kind of threw me off. Just curious if you’ve ever seen this on Erie before?

Tyler you are somewhat right about bass having different behavior, but you only have a piece of the puzzle because bass on any lake have the same behavior. Because I’m getting older I’m starting to share more bass true behavior not all the myths everyone has been taught and believes to be true for decades. It was actually funny to me when a tpw biologist did not know why a bass was where she was when it was very obvious.to start any given creek that has deep water trophy bass live there they don’t migrate to the main channel like everyone teaches. To understand bass behavior let’s start at the beginning when the eggs hatch. They feed on zooplankton they become fry and start feeding on insects and such at this point they become cannibals so a two inch fry will eat a one inch fry because of the they break up into groups of similar size as a defense they will keep this behavior for the rest of their lives I’m going to skip stuff because I don’t want to write a book but I want everyone to know the facts now. You mention summer and it’s hot and you surprised a big bass stayed shallow and didn’t go deep that’s because what you been taught. But the truth is base behavior is top priority is survival not food. Everyone says find the bait find the bass. But that not the true story of why. Hot summer everyone says man I was on this spot it was on fire at 9am it shut off not a bite where did the fish go oh they went deep hmm yes some did but why. You haven’t eaten in two days you are starving now hold your breath what is more important to you now food or oxygen??? The answer is obvious if you don’t breath you will die way before starving so at this point bass seek cooler water because they seeking oxygen cooler water holds more oxygen as the sun comes up and heats the water it’s burning off the oxygen so that trophy bass on a grass lake like Toledo is going deep under the Gras may even get in foot of water it’s cooler provides cover but now that the sun is up it’s producing oxygen through photosynthesis this is the best place to get the most oxygen. So you say well why don’t all the bass do this well they do but remember they themselves are afraid to be eaten so the further in the grass the best place is the trophy fish the closer to the edge the smaller. Sorry I won’t keep going on in this small comment section big catches to everyone hope you busted some myths good luck.

Hi Tyler I’m already a subscriber to @bassfishingHQ and love the channel. I’ve learned a lot about bass behavior over the last couple years and your channel is a major contributor to that. I’m sure you’re aware of Steve Rogers if not he has some really great underwater videos of bass behavior and like you explains these behaviors really well. Thanks for what you do it’s helped me greatly in my pursuit of the Black Bass. John
