I have a modulus Q5 originally equipped with bartolinis and agilar electronics. Never pleased with the sound. Bought to emg dc pick-ups and this is now my number one bass. Just love what the emg pickups do for this bass

Replying to a really old comment, but I did the same to my Q5. The EMG setup makes an amazing difference in tone. I'm using the same BQC preamp as the video with the 40CS pickups.

cwilliamsphoto what are your typical EQ settings in on the bass or elsewhere? I find I am rolling my parametric mid to the highest frequency and boosting.

I remember in the mid to late 90s hearing about these basses I always loved the sharp horns on there! And the cutaway! Otiel was the first bassist I seen use one of these, The i noticed flea got a custom one

probably got a great bridge pickup solo range too - I like that middy sound sometimes.

With this being a 5 string I'd have liked to hear more low B playing.
