That modulus bass sounds crazy good!!! I put it up there with Warwick and Ken Smith in terms of something that if you play it and hear it you just know what it is. That's a special thing not to mention how sturdy that design is.

Odd this pops up in my feed, I had the same quilt top color Q5 with Bart 3 band active that I regrettably sold in 2003 for something that worked better for what I was doing at the time. Every engineer I knew loved that Q and it’s super tight clarity as much as I did.

OMG, Modulus Basses has a very clear sound and a lot of attack! detailed and nasaly midrange, punchy and crisp high-end ;) you can hear each note through the mix. Love it. The fretboard is sweet (Made of Phenolic compound). Please try to make a video with one Modulus bass but with "Lane Poor Pickups". Thank you very much, Rodo from Argentina.

One thing about that graphite neck, it keeps those notes and harmonics alive Just like the necks on Ken Smith basses Which are graphite reinforced.

Yeah Johnny, modulus graphite was the creator of the 35 scale, however they do make a 34 in the j5, as you well know, any bass that employs graphite in the neck, is going to have authoritative sound repons cause it keeps the integrity of the chords and notes stable.

A beautiful bass with a clean and defined tone but still warm. There is nothing like a graphite neck regarding few, if any, dead notes. It would kill with standard tuning!

Modulus is probably the best bass I've ever played and I'm a Lakland guy.

But there's only one Fender sound.This bass sounds really good, but it sounds nothing like a Fender. Mike Pedullas play really well, I have tried those but again, not the same sound. Fender is so popular for a reason, it's just that sound. Most producers are going to request you use one anyway.
