Hey, Ott! I love still using a double williow bladed spinnerbaits. I, Also use a White painted double williow bladed spinner bait just to change up every so often. Do you use a stinger hook on your spinnerbaits. Sometimes bass short strike the Spinnerbait too. If that happens. I will pick up the one with the stinger hook. Then Bam! Got another Biggin! Thanks, For the laid back Bass fishing videos. Your a great Teacher of how to Bass fish. The warm rain vs cold rain brings out those bass. Just started using a Chatterbait with a upside down split tail Fluke. Putting Garlic Spike It on the tail works wonders. Give it a try. They just won't let go of the bait. Good Luck in the Tournament's. Will be watching. Shawn.

@familybudgetfisherman4 жыл бұрын
You mentioned that above 55 degrees you consider warm water (to retrieve baits faster) and below 55 degrees is colder (to retrieve baits slower). If the temperature is above 55 degrees but the thermocline is lower in the water column does that change your retrieve speed? How about the temp being below 55 degrees but the thermocline is higher in the water column?
@Wired2Fish4 жыл бұрын
The thermocline isn't a factor in the shallow water fishing situation covered in this video. In the winter or early spring, it's oftentime absent altogether (depending on latitude) until warmer warmer water starts the stratification process. But for shallow water prespawn fishing, the fish we're targeting are shallow with similar water temps. If the runoff water is warmer, then these little feeder creeks can be a magnet for bass looking for a warmup (run-ins).
@kurtbecker96094 жыл бұрын
@@Wired2Fish something else to consider: in most waters, thermoclines don't really set up 'hard' until summer heat. and until then, it's not 'that magic'. it's when the water layer UNDER the thermocline (hypolimnion) goes anoxic (low oxygen levels) that fish stay 'out of it'.
