Bass Fishing at Whalon Lake

I'm learning how to fish and got my son into fishing, we go almost every other day but have a hard time.. trying to really learn the ropes if you ever go again I'd love to meet for some great needed knowledge

hey man. youtube is your best friend when learning different baits to use. If u go to whalon often, try to stay away from the deep sections. Look up the depth map online for whalon.

Sorry for the super late reply.... My brother lives near Whalon... We usually hit the shallows near the islands in the middle. Water clarity and temp is how I decide what to throw that day.

It's Bolingbrook I have fished it many times in a small boat when its windy can be tough done very well there at times nothing over 5 lb lots of 2 and and a half and threes do best with the KVD Square bill catch a lot of walleyes that way too found a dead floating fish once about 5 years ago it hadn't been dead very long and it weighed 8 and 3/4 lb couldn't believe it but it's true
