The jig is my bread & butter...almost to a fault. I fell head over heels in love with them a couple months after I started bass fishing,and I always have one tied on. Honestly,that’s just how I like to catch ’em. Stellar vid as always,my friend!

Great video. I fish on Guntersville and one thing I do that I don't see many people do in the prespawn is swim a jig around Lilly pad stems. That is a great way to catch a giant.

Thanks Kyle. I can't wait for you to get back to the elite series. I do have one question. I just started really throwing a swim jig this spring and I'm killing them in dead grass beds on the bank. A small 3.3 keitech on the back of a white swim jig has been my best trailer. I didn't hear you mention anything about a swimbait trailer on a swim jig. Is there a reason you don't or is it just preference. The only possible downside I've seen so far is short strikes and maybe I could use a trailer that allows the hook to be a little closer to the tail of the trailer. Once again I wanna thank you for doing these videos. I like and watch a few fishing KZbinrs but when it comes to learning the how, where, why of fishing I'm coming to a professional fishermans channel such as yours. I'm not gonna lie man, I'm a grown ass man with grown ass responsibilities and I shed a tear or 2 when I saw your video on Hunter's reaction to that 10lber. That tournament assured me that I am rooting for the right guy✌️

Great video!! Jig is just a tool for me to find the correct depth and speed. Some time other tools work better. Deeper and or faster or slower. Thank you again. Yesterday I had to go super shallow and fast on top. Jig won't do in that method.

Kyle, I normally am fishing less than 5 ft deep. I use 1/4 and 3/8 oz unless lots of wind, use a 1/2. Do you think I should use the 1/2 all the time? I know you can cover more water more efficiently with the heavier ones but I'm only pleasure fishing. Stopped tournaments 15 years ago. Sure would appreciate your opinion.
@KyleWelcher2 жыл бұрын
I would say 3/8 is the best all around. I keep 1/2 because I’m usually in current and really heavy cover and grass. 3/8 is a great all around
