I have a Ltd six string bass E.A.D.G.B.E I use a 25 . And tune it to E. So C.to B. And add a E. So strung up like a guitar

My pleasure ! Please be noted that you should select the bass whose peg of 1st string is not so far away from the bridge, because of the original "shorter" string length of guitar's 😀

Thank you for your comment.✨ Yes It depends the position of the peg on your bass. The peg of 1st string of the bass guitar that I used in this video positions on very close to the neck. So I could do use the regular guitar string but if not, I might need to buy an extra long guitar string😅

@@low_pitched0143 Your English is great man,its no issue at all. I was concerned about how you had to adjust the saddles for adjusting the intonation for all the strings and also about the string length of the high C.

@@amediocrehuman2885 Thank you for your warm-hearted comment. Yes, you had the points. 1) Adjusting Saddles ... I have to confess that I have not adjust them at all, not to mention Nut as well. I know I should have, but so far, I have not faced big problems. 2) String length ... 100% agreed on this is important factor. If you watch my movie again, the Peg position of my high-C string is the "closest postion" from finger board among other Pegs. Thanks for this, I could put a usual Guitar String (without having much thought ), but if your Peg position was further than mine, you might realize the gutar string is too short for your bass. Since there seems no "longer scale guitar strings" are available from the market (as far as I know ) , all I can say to you is to try to find the "short scale bass" or the bass with the suitable Peg position. I can not give you any further tips. Sorry about this.

But, here's good one. On this song, Victor plays 4th strings bass with high-C (tuning is A-D-G-C) and Steve plays 6th strings bass guitar, from low-B to high-C. That's right ! Back in more than 10 years ago, after his seminar in music shop, I got one. His technic was beyond compare and as you can imagine, he was so gentle and kind while the chat I had with him. He is my hero. :D

Although I can not 100% for sure, you can do this on your TRBX 305. The most important point is peg position for "1st string" vs the length of guitar string. Seeing TRBX 305, its peg position is at the nearest postion to finger board (not like the farest postion of Fender bass), so it would be possible 😃Give it a try !

Thank you for your message ! Yes, technically you can try high C string , but you will miss E string if you use only 4 strings bass guitar. Piccolo bass strings are 1 octavo higher than standard bass guitar, just like guitar strings. Roughly speaking, the difference is the length of strings, so if you happen to have "short scale bass" and "longer guitar strings" with you, you can try ! Good luck !!

No, it's regular scale. But please be careful the position of peg, if the 1st string peg position of your bass is "too far"( not like mine ) from bridge , the guitar string might not be able to reach ...
