I don't think he realized that the DI is clean only, so when he demoed the overdrive you couldn't hear it at all in the video.

Does it handle 5 string low b string?

Sounds like it does but the kind of electronics you have on board will have to be taken into consideration. The best thing would be to try one for yourself to be sure. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.

In reading the manual its only "MAX 208 = 120 W (rms) into 4 ohms". Not sure why Peavey claims 200 watts.

I had a friend who was into car audio and talked about it all the time. The amplifier can be rated at 200 watts, but the way the speakers are wired: series or parallel, and the ohms the speakers are rated, will affect how much power your amp can push. I think in this scenario the goal is to get more clean headroom. It isn’t very transparent marketing though. Another example is a Laney bass amp I had in the 90s. It was a 50 watt bass amp but said something in the manual about it being 100 watts if you want to use it as an amp for a regular guitar. May have been more BS though. 200 or 120 watts, either way it won’t be enough to hang with a loud drummer or a guitar with more than about 30 watts. Also, the RMS I believe means the amount of watts that can run continuously and then there is the peak wattage, for super loud low notes or bass drum hits. It’s a sleazy marketing tool to advertise the peak wattage instead of the RMS. Again, I’m recalling info heard from someone else years ago. A real audio head would be able to give you more info; anyone who works at a custom audio store could tell you if you don’t know someone who repairs guitar amps

I'll bet that's a typo. 200 W into 4 ohms and 120 W into 8 ohms.

And nothing regarding its volume capacity. Can this compete easily with hard played forums and guitar?

This amp is quite capable for a 200 watt unit. Obviously you will want to look at the size of the venue and kind of music to decide if it will work for you. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
